I've recently been considering starting a chaos army and more specifically, alpha legion. However, its occured to me that since this legion do not reside in the eye of terror, that their armour etc may not be as corrupted as the other legions whose armour will have been warped.
So i decided I would do an alpha legion army in space marine armour. Unfortunately the loyalist armour is covered in imperial eagles.
So how about a space marine chapter, using alpha legion rules, but with a different colour scheme, invented by the alpha legion to be spies and to interfere with impeials trying to combat the alpha legion.
Hydra legion could be the name.

Nope, the index astartes article for them says that the majority did not flee to the eye but remained in the imperium.

true, they remain within the imperium to stir up riots and such. Quite hard to do from the eye, dont you think? :P

How about heavily defaced loyalist armor? Scratch up the eagles and draw your own stars of chaos with your hobby knife, just like the real Alpha leigon!
