MikeH:
This actually looks like a very common L&tD Army. The most widely used and themed version of the Damned is Nurgle themed and bloated mutants, defilers, etc. Overall, your army is fine, however: 1 - You lack anti-tank almost completely. A singe land raider crusader, or predators will run circles around you and eat through your army very quickly. You will be hard pressed to deal with ordnance or template attacks due to this, making you very vulnerable to both mechanized and artillery based armies, and especially against skimmer based armies. If this is ok with you; then ignore the warning. 2 - This is a very slow Damned army. Your single transport is all by it's self and will be easily destroyed, especially considering something very expensive and juicy is riding inside. Due to the slow 6 inch slog of the army, the hounds will be out front in no time, and quickly become targets, which will be utterly wiped out by virtually any shooting attack. This leaves your big hordes of T4 4+ saving mutants, to shuffle around. You will have a very hard time in missions and table quarter holding games, simply because you won't be able to walk and keep >50% strength units where you need them in a game against a savez opponent. Now again, if any of this doesn't bother you, completely disregard it and proceed. Aside from the above points, the list as it is, I wouldn't change a thing. I like it as it is, it has a very good theme to it and it's complete and everything matches well. The only problems are the two very large issues which I covered above. Cheers! ![]()

I love mutants and if I wanted Traitor Guard, I can assure you I'd make a truly vile IG list based on an infected legion (Carapace armor, chem inhalers etc), however, I prefer a huge horde like on the front of the Eye of Terror Codex. This army has 3 Obliterators, 2 powerfists, rending claws and the Defilers to hurt tanks. Then again, my primary army is a pure DH army so I'm used to relying on like 2 dreads Hammerhands and a prayer to bust heavy vehicles lol

I think tactically, the army has some inherent holes as Malveaux stated, but your goal is theme and you're acomplishing it. So that doesn't matter.
Do you want us to try and improve the raw power you display on the field? Or the theme? or are you just looking to see what people think? Regardless, I think you achieved the theme well but I would have liked to see a great unclean one, perhaps at the expense of aspiring champs and an obliterator? Should free up the points.

Yes, I would, but I'd like to make a note- I was going to paint the obliterators as plague hulkish monsters. Also, by taking out one of my three long range anti tank guns, I doubt you'd be increasing my power any.

Banking on a trio of obliterators isn't necessarily a great idea though. It's easier to reduce them below half for scoring purposes, and they invite things like exorcist missiles, devastators with lascannons or other groups of nasty weapons. You implied it was a theme army first, and I was trying to suggest ideas for the theme. If you're changing the focus of the army now, then the gloves come off.
Well basically then, Possessed can't really be worked to be efficient. those 200+ points could be heavy weapons you need, or more durable bodies or even more mobility. Chaos hounds are a waste of points, especially in those small numbers. A few shots and they break and run away with their tails between their legs. Defilers are also huge wastes of points. I've been playing them non-stop for about 6 months now. They will never give you back their points or even control the flow of battle enough.
