Default Tournament army background - My first time posting writing on Tau Online!

I'm going to a tournament tomorrow. For all Canadian tournaments you need a peice of background for your army! So here's what I've got. This is my first post in this sub board * so be nice!

The army list that accompanies it can be found here: http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=41260.0

Thanks!

My honored master; Por’Kais’Shi. Enclosed is the requested report on the recently promoted Shas’o’Tau’N’Vral Mal’caor.

Vral Mal’caor, having only recently risen to the rank of Shas’O, is noted as being a particularly ruthless and efficient commander.

He gained a great deal of command experience fighting amidst the twisted ruins of countless Imperial cities on Kemi II and Medusa V. Not long after the fall of Medusa V, Mal’Caor was tasked with aiding the defense of a small colony world from an approaching splinter fleet. The Hive Fleet’s numbers were greater than the Tau Shas’Ar’Tol had predicted and the colony was overrun. The Shas’O overseeing the operations was killed during a Genestealer ambush and overall command passed to the young but capable Shas’El Vral Mal’Caor.

He led a masterful rear guard action and was able to evacuate nearly three quarters of the civilian population. However it was at great cost to the Fire Warriors and auxiliaries under his command.

His actions in that campaign earned him the rank of Shas’O. His most recent duties have seen him conducting small raids leading a veteran hunter cadre comprised of survivors from his battles against the Tyranids. O’Vral Mal’caor’s attacks have become increasingly daring, leading with an almost blatant disregard for his own life. This not only proves dangerous – as Vral’Caor is a gifted leader, one that we cannot afford to lose – but he willingly (and needlessly) endangers the warriors in his hunter cadre.

The Shas’Ar’Tol has tasked him with training a protégé, Shas’el’Tau’N M’yen’Shi, a young commander who has been gifted with an XV-2 battle suit. There are whispers that the Ethereals have tasked him with monitoring the increasingly unstable Shas’O’Vral’Mal’Caor.

No matter where his loyalty lies though, it cannot be questioned that he is an effective commander, skilled at leading lightning-quick strikes before escaping from his enemy.

Only time will tell whether this brilliant commander will follow a path similar to that of the late O’Shovah.

Ko’vash Tau’va Por’O.

No, it wasn't bad. I just don't think the fluff board gets as many viewers as other boards.

as a general overview, I think that this is perfectly fine but you should probably add a little bit more to the entire product.

Lookin' good so far, just not long enough. ;D

i gotta say i liked it- however, i would change the loyalty aspect and change it to his ability to keep proper command- but i like the idea of him being assigned to train a protoge with hidden reasons.

Actually I think I changed that in the most recent version to read "The renegade O'Shovah."

Yeah I just read it over and that line about "Where his loyalties lie" sorta comes out of no where. I can tidy that up a bit.

Despite concerns over his mental balance and rumors of the dreaded Battle suit nerousis, it cannot be questioned that he is an effective commander, skilled at leading lightning-quick strikes before escaping from his enemy.
