Default [Apoc]Deathstrike Battery & Company

Ok so my guard are famed for using LOADS of Deathstrikes (and manticores, incidentally, but that's for another time). In the Background they're from a fringe world in the Halo Star area, and they found a 'storage world' full of the things while searching for Artillery to help meet their tithes after an ork raid crippled some factories. They have many different warhead, but of course, the main ones are Plasma Warheads. Anyway, onto the sheet:
Deathstrike Missile Launcher Company - 100pts + Models for a Company, 25 + Models for a Battery

Deathstrike Missile Launcher Battery
Formation:
3 Deathstrike Missile Launchers
Battery Special Rules:
Strike Force: All Deathstrikes in the Battery must be deployed within 6" of each other, or if coming on from reserve, they must each enter the table from within 6" of a point entered by another Deathstrike in the battery.
Special Warheads:
As well as Plasma Warheads, some Deathstrikes are armed with different, more specialised warheads. One deathstrike in the battery may be armed with a Warhead from the list below, instead of it's Plasma Warhead:

Incendiary for free: This warhead relases and enourmous cloud of flammable vapour, before igniting it in a huge fireball. Instead of the normal rules for a Deathstrike detonation, once the point hit by the deathstrike is dermined, roll 3D6. This is the radius of the cloud. All units with the cloud suffer a S:6 AP:3 hit that ignores cover.

Heavy Plasma for 30 points: This works in the same way as a normal Deathstrike, except that it is Strength D instead of strength 10.

Bio Warhead for 20 Points: Determine the radius of this blast in the same way as a normal Deathstrike Missile, but roll D6 + 6". All no-vehicle units in the blast are wounded on a 2+, with no armour saves. You may re-roll the result of this to-wound roll, but the second roll wounds on a 4+, and is AP3 instead of ignoring armour saves. Open topped vehicles take an automatic Glancing hit. Other vehicles are unaffected.

Deathstrike Missile Company
Formation:
3 Deathstrike Missile Batteries, One command Chimera or Salamander Command Vehicle
Company Special Rules
Strike Force: All Deathstrikes in the Battery must be deployed within 24" of the Command Tank, or if coming on from reserve, they must each enter the table from within 24" of the point entered by the company Command vehicle.
Special Warheads: Instead of upgrading to one of the Warheads below, one Deathstrike in the Company may have one of the following warheads for 200 Points:

Vortex Warhead!: This uses the same rules as the warlord Titan Vortex Missile, with the exception that it must still roll for T minus 5 minutes to launch... and counting.

Tactical Nuclear Warhead: Once the position of the marker is determined, all models within 6D6 inches take a Strength D hit.

Comments and Critiscism apprieciated.

That Tactical Nuke is just insane. You could wipeout Half the table in a single hit. With luck of course.

The Bio Warhead is a touch complicated.

Other than that though you seem to have thought about it well, and not just said STRENGTH D EVERYTHING!!.

Nice work.

It has the same rules as a Warhound/Reaver/Warlord reactor going Nuclear. It's entirely possible it could utterly annihalate a 12" circle and do nothing else, but at the same token, it could specacularly detonate and vapourise and entire Titan battlegroup. If I could have whatever models I wanted, I would actually take a battery with a Nuke and two Heavy Plasma Warheads and bomabard a Warlord titan to see how dead it would be at the end. Or maybe a Vortex Warhead - that's better for titan-hunting.

At a mere 200 point upgrade and the ability to launch it into the ENEMY'S lines (rather than a Warhound/Reaver/Warlord's propensity to detonate in its own lines to spectacular results), I too find the Tactical Nuke a bit over the top.

To be fair, however, such a model, armed with such a gun, would never actually be allowed to exist past Turn 1 barring extremely poor luck, and an infinitesimal chance of staying til turn 3.

I think that's the point though. If I knew my opponent had one, I would dedicate all my fire towards that group. If it somehow survived 2, maybe 3 rounds of shooting, then he might actually deserve to shoot it. Not to mention hillarity will ensue when you scatter 12 inches towards your own lines and get the 25in radius :P.

Oh, and good rules by the way. Not too crazy, but good enough to work.
