Did anyone get the 'Steel Fury' datasheet on the weekend, as mentioned in White Dwarf Online?

Quote:

This weekend, on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November, we have a very special treat for all Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse enthusiasts; a truly astounding new Apocalypse Datasheet:

The Steel Fury Baneblade Squadron!

Why stop at one Imperial Baneblade when now you can bring the full might of an entire squadron to bear?

Visit any Games Workshop store in the UK or Northern Europe this weekend and pick up a copy of this immense new datasheet completely free and days before it appears anywhere else!

You can find full details about your nearest Games Workshop store in the pages of White Dwarf, or with out online Store Finder.

No I'm afraid I didn't. This is nuts with GW releasing Datasheets all over the place online for short periods and then this... that's going to make playing Apocalypse nuts in some places, with people using rules and datasheets other players have never seen before, and some players may try to use those units without a hard copy of the datasheet themselves... not a smart move IMO.

I don't think "exclusive" datasheets is a good idea. Sooner or later people will start making datasheets that look official, and just use them in games just like that.

I'll see if I can get this from my local GW tomorrow then..

It's mentioned here: http://belloflostsouls.blogspot.com/...pocalypse.html with a little correction by Ian in one of the comments.

Nasty.. From Warseer:

2. The Ground Shakes: Any enemy wishing to assault any of the company's Baneblades must take a morale check, at -1 for each Baneblade within 12" of the command tank. If they fail, they may not assault that turn.

3. Strike Force: All Baneblades in the Steel Fury company must be deployed within 12" of the command tank, or, if coming on from reserve, they must enter the table within 12" of the point entered by the command tank.

4. Command Tank: Whilst the command tank is still mobile, any tank in the company within 12" of it (including the command tank itself) may ignore Gun crew shaken results on the super-heavy damage table.
Exclusive datasheets is a silly idea. Especially when it's apparently UK only. I can only hope I'll pick one up later today.. half a world away from the UK.

Wait it's supposed to be exclusive? I thought they were going to release it online in time. That's the stupidest idea ever.

it says 'before anywhere else' somewhere, it'll be on internet soon, all it was was a piece of photocopied paper, i didn't even bother getting one, :P
half the kids can't even play properly in my store.. they were using the redployment asset, they were trying to move a baneblade all the way across the other side of there deployment as about twenty terminators had just landed, they failed to read the 'the move can't come within 12" of enemy'

So much for 'In-Store Exclusive'... but anyhow, saw the datasheet at my local GW, the rules are exactly as quoted above. Now I should perhaps get a Baneblade... at that, Baneblades aren't the best at taking out enemy vehicles...
