Default Dice

Are we the only people who understand what a D6 is?

This is how i tried to explain this subject

"you have LD 10 you need to roll lower than 10 on a 2 D6 your averge roll is 7 you can never get lower than a 2 & their is three possiable ways to fail your test"

her response was "WTF???"

is it just we gamers???

Um...if you think about it women tend to not to play Warhammer and other games like it so they will probably tend to think in terms of the word 'dice' and will never have come across the phrase - 'D6.'

I don't see what's so astonishing about that personally.... :

Nearly all wargames and most definetly all RPG's as well as other mscillaneous games use the term D6, or, of course, D12, D8, D4, or a zillion others.

And that of course mostly has a following of rather more men than women.

Only wargamers/RPGers use "D". Everyone else use Dice or Die.
