Default How to Financially Balance Multiple Hobbies

Seriously, I want to know. So far, my interests are:

Magic: The Gathering-
Three Blinkmoth Nexus', just to fill out my deck, just in case.

Warhammer 40,000-
Grey Knights in Power Armour Squad
3 Grey Knights Blister Packs
2 Forgeworld Grey Knights Dreadnoughts
Forgeworld Grey Knight Tank Commander

Computer Gaming-
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Wild!
Dawn of War

Computer Graphics and Design-
Most Recent Maya Version
Photoshop CS2
Dreamweaver

Reading-
Warhammer 40,000 Literature (Needed?)

Nothing is set in stone, and I actually want to compact it as much as I can but still play decently budget-style in each category.

I have $500 dollars in the bank, and, if my grades are B average or above, I will be monetarily compensated from my parents- Greatly. As in, and I quote, "Money is not an issue. We just want you to get good grades. What do you want?" End quote.

Realistic advice needed, thanx.

Well for GW stuff try and get battlion or army boxes (saves you a ton and you get limited edition that can be sold for large amounts if you dont want them). FO saving cash preview the fluff stuff and see what you want and get a library card from a college or big libray for the philosophy (besides alot of the stuff out there is abosolute garbage). And personaly i would dump the magic for the fact that it takes up too much money and the cards get useless after X amount of time.

Hmmm...I think I'll edit it. Give me a few secs...

Alright, I'm gonna try and sample some DnD work, see how it turns out...

Actually, you're right, MTG's not worth it...but I think I'll round out my Raffinity deck with my much needed 3 Blinkmoth Nexus's I'm missing...

Is Warhammer fantasy roleplay or the Warhammer CCG's worth pursuing?

I'm not inclined to think so, stick with the tried and true.

I've taken a look at the WH Fantasy RPG and... well... compared to D&D, it withers like a dry husk during a drought in the Sahara.
Hmmm... Get good grades!

affinity is a fun deck to play, but its overused. do you run skullclamps?
anyway, hold off on the warhammer fantasy untill you get an army up and running in 40k.

Personally, I would hold off on Fantasy until you have a regular job. I began playing when I got to Graduate school (and started getting paid for going to classes). As far as I have noticed, Fantasy tends to be more expensive than 40k in the short term.

No, I run standard Osyp-Orlando build Vial affinity. Affinity is out of T2, it's barely used (last time I checked) in t1.5x, and is a whole nother animal in T1.
