Star Wars is a cultural phenomenon. I never understood why people complained about the Prequal Trilogy so much... save for the fact Padme is a total slut. :

I liked all six episodes. I think that, although the OT was great, the PT was great too, and people only really complained because it wasn't as close to the OT as people had hoped.

I actually liked the first and third episodes more than all of the OT's episodes.

The Star Wars movies are good. Not anything significantly brilliant, but good. However, the newer ones are not as good as the old ones. Darth Squall is a prime contributor to this: his acting abilities are lesser than those of a short plank. So basically, I'm indifferent. Or, as the poll says, couldn't care less.

However, Star Wars has a few flaws overall IMO:
1) Accuracy, lack of.
2) Logic in weapons, lack thereof. (Lopping an arm off rather than making a little hole is more civilised?)
3) Darth Squall
4) Ewoks

Well, maybe it also takes having seen the first films in thier original form and considering the movies at the time. Compared to some of the movies that were out there the Original trilogy was brilliant. However, sometime between when RotJ was made and the redoing of the series I think Lucas lost sight of what made the films great.

What really disapoints me about the Prequal Trilogy was that there is a great story in there. However after seeing all of them I think the big parts got squashed into the last two movies. The events in AotC and RotS sohould really have been spaced out more and probably had another movie somewhere in between them.

To be honest Phantom Menace really only needed two things done to make it on the level of the Original Trilogy. Jar-Jar had never been born(or at least a much less visable character) and the source of the Force never explained.

I thought all six films were good, except ep II. The were graphics great, but the acting was lousy in Ep II. My ownly problem with EP I was the fact that anakin was so young other wise the movie inspired me to get into swordsmanship and evetually samurai anames got me into Kendo. Ep III is still my favorite of the prequels and I almost liked it better than "Kung Fu Hustle" in terms of the movies that came out this year. The best of the six was " A New Hope" in my opinion simply because it was so well done. The others were good too but nothing quiet beats the first movie.

I love all the films. I won't say which is better, OT or PT, because they both have major advantages and major flaws. One thing though. For me, both trilogies have the same pattern in my appreciation of them. I enjoy Ep I & IV, Ep II & V bore me to tears, and I watch Ep III & VI to death.

I love the old trilogy, especially ROTJ. The only good movie in the PT was ROTS. I loved that one, but DESPISED TPM and most of AOTC.
