Fire Warrior LG:

Don't give it up. If you want to take a break, take a break. However, keep your minis in a nice bag or box somewhere for later days. Trust me on this. You may want to start new things, and that's great. At that age you should be getting out a lot more and exploring. However, once that time passes and you creep further and further past those years, you'll want to play again It always works that way!

So keep your minis, keep your books. If you need a break or something take one, but don't ever just give it up totally. You'll regret it in the end, even if that end is in a couple of years after life slows down for you again. It typically speeds up big time from 16 to 25, but believe me, in the middle and after that, you'll wish you still had your Warhammer and could grab a game here and there.

Cheers!

Give it up so you can grow up? Huh? I started Warhammer when I was 19!

It's a hobby, if you enjoy it you'll always find time for it. Sure cars, bills, girlfriends/wives and other things do take your mind and money from time to time, but I still have my projects.

Dont fret, if you need to slow down or take time away then do it... but remember, a lot of members here are older players, we find time for it, I'm positive you can too

I have stared warhammer in even older age. I was 23 when i started, and since them i get married, and i got 1 children. I love my family very much, but one think is great, my family support my in my hobbies, so i get warhammer models for birth days etc.

One of my friend have girlfried who painted his entire army.

So point is that Warhammer doesn't mean that you can't live normal life, of course you have less money to spend, so it is reason why i have only one army and doesn't play that much often. It is just great hobby, one that is not too cheap or expensive, and it is at least much more creative than computer gaming.

I was 11 when i started fantasy and 40k and i have been playing most of the time for 12 years. When i had to get a car it was no problem as i was working 2 jobs from 15 -18 i may not of had much time for warhammer but i kept reading the books and building armies on my breaks. But i am coming up on getting married and and settling down to raise a family and i will still be able to play.

Don't give in to peer pressure. Just because you're growing up doesn't mean you have to give up what you enjoy. You can get a car and job and still play 40k in your spare time. Besides, its better than getting drunk at a bar three times a week. ;D

People who love football with a passion have time to indulge their love for the sport, AND lead a normal life. how is that different to your hobby??

You dont need to play it 27 hours a day, 9 days a week, 400 days a year, do you?

40k has its place, as does other stuff.....
