Default Blue Glove assault. Firefly related

Very interesting approach. I think I will be doing this, even though Jericho was canceled eventually anyway. :shifty:

It's likely futile, but maybe it'll catch (getting the famous actors to twitter about it would work well). I'm sadly not as equipped to spread such information though. I neither "digg", have a twitter account, nor use facebook.

Anyway, that link has the info about the campaign. Let's try to win this war then.

That's a point actually. As much as I'd love to see another season, part of Firefly's appeal is that it never had a chance to go stale. When you watch Firefly you're not bothered by the fact the show went downhill after x amount of seasons, or about how one of your favorate actors left, because it didn't happen. What you're watching is arguably pure unadulterated brilliance, and it would be a real shame to draw anything away from it.

I mean really, you got all your characters backstories within the season. What more tom foolery can you put in

Inara is a regulated whore...
Jaynes the book dumb, street wise gunman
Simon is a highly raised doctor, learning the outlaw world
River----is River
Shephard----has a civilian background with the alliance, then turned nomad priest
Kaleys the mechanic with a hard on for the doc... ;D

Then you got a pilot who was hired....with his relations to his wife (solved). How she helps Mal, and how mal conducts his business and revenge in tandem portions to his pent up sexual frustration. :P

Other then quote material of course, what else can we ask for. Each episode played out a non continuing story for the next time. It was easy to follow, easy to like, funny, action packed, and had a believable premise and cast. Such a feat is scary to bitches like Fox.

So I say again, dont watch fox shows. :P

-----and why did they have to kill the pilot....why.... he was a leaf on the wind, shank inara:'(

Hate to be a realist in all this - but does whedon and the cast even want to do more firefly? I've read interviews where they are sad it died, but happy to move on.

They said that there were blue gloves in the last episode but I'm sure the hands of blue weren't in objects in space.

I think he said as much in one of the dollhouse special features when he was talking about why he was still making shows for FOX.

I don't think there is anyone haappy it died, but I feel to make more now would ruin what we have.

Firefly is legendary these days, and I would be terrified that a further series cannot live up to its legend. Much as it kills me to say it, I would rather it stays this almost magical series, and doesn't get more series.

Books, sure, I'd love more fiction from the 'verse, but firefly should live on a high, not get rundown by ever interfering networks, because that is exactly what will happen.

Quoted for truth.

Even though I wish it hadn't been cancelled (well, at least I wish fox had let them finish the first series), it wouldn't be as awesome if it was resurrected. I think this is what Whedon's realised and why his dream of a new firefly series is dead now.

I agree, Firefly is near perfect as it is. Another season could screw it up in so many ways, and it wouldn't be as rounded without Wash and Book around. There are a few things that a new series would be able to build upon, but I would much prefer another movie to another season.
