Default DC vs. Marvel

Simple question. Batman or Spiderman? The Hulk or The Flash? JLA or Avengers?

Its not that simple, DC has Batman, who is just the most awesome, and Lobo, who's the second funniest but they also have wonderwoman who's powerset changes weekly (I miss the invisible plane)and superman who everyone keeps reminding us is pretty much a god only that never occurs to him and is pretty much impossible to relate to.

Marvel have Spidey who pretty much every comic geek can relate to, Deadpool and his little yellow boxes that are the fumiest, and then Massive cock-ups like one more day and hiring Rob leifeild to do anything other than sweep up Ditko's pencil shavings and make sure Stan Lee's taken his meds.

I used to be a marvel guy, but it was because they had better artists. This was especially true during the 90's. But ever since Identity Crisis, I have finally realized that DC is the King of story arcs.

Not necessarily, Boneguard. We don't want people ranting about which 40k army is better. A little genre on genre or namebrand v namebrand isn't forbidden by any means, especially not in the Enclave.

I'd say it's a tough one. I like the Marvel characters better on the whole, but DC has the y'xa'uuk Batman. And no one beats Batman.

Well, I'd say both have their flops and insane success stories. Marvel has created some really awesome super beings. Carnage, Venom, Wolverine, Deadpool, Gambit, Hulk, the list goes on. One thing I like from DC is the tendency to come up with non-superpower superheroes, Batman being the perfect example.

Personally, (and this is the third time I have said this this week), I think the Walking Dead is the best comic ever...and since it is image I guess that says it all.

Iron Man is the Batman of Marvel, and Iron Man would stomp all over Batman.

Hell to the no. I love Iron Man, a ton, but Batman could beat him with one hand behind his back.

It would be a good fight, but I don't think either one would have the upperhand. In close combat, and with no preparation, Iron Man would make mince meat out of the Dark Knight with his superior strength. But Batman knows this and would not only then know Stark's weaknesses, but would have a contingency plan to take him down. This plan would probably involve overtaking Stark's armor, making him Batman's slave.

More than likely if the two ran into an alley and started fighting with no preparation, Batman would retreat and then find a weakness. It would have to be a two parter for sure.

In addition, you all have to take into consideration one thing: Batman has beaten the Man of Steel. Nuff said.
