Default New Honda

My Dad gave me a ride on this Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird a few days ago, and it was awesome. It's a pretty huge bike, and it's damn fast.

Anyone here own one?

I've had 5 lessons over the past 7 weeks.
The clutch isn't too bad after a while trust me, it's other drivers that get me.
Anyway, I got up to just over 100mph on that Blackbird, so I don't think I'll be getting scared during my lessons anymore. ;D

Cars are way better than bikes: air con, sound systems, comfortable seats, places to keep food and drink, larger carrying capacity for models... and when you give me abuse, I know which one of us is ending up in hospital after the ram.

I know what you mean, I love both.
Bikes have a far better exhileration value though. Although the old 2.5l V6 Alfa Romeo gave it a run for it's money.
Please avoid bike jokes though people, 'cause my Godfather died in a bike accident.

I'm not sure how much he paid, but he part-exchanged his Moto Guzzi for it.

Oh yeah. the Blackbird... The first bike I loved/still love.

Mind you I have shifted towards my cruisers over sports bikes. Mostly because of the fact that my ankles can't get to the pedals safely on a sports bike. Still, Honda is a personal favourite.

It's getting safer to ride now with the special fibre leathers, and helmets are getting better too... but it's still up to the riders competance, and educating the impatient four wheel people... I've had my scare, and the guy who hit me sure did too.

Oh and Wargamer, bikes are getting better every year. A lot of higher end bikes have sound systems to connect to the helmet, vents in leathers for air con, and the new BMW bikes even have a cigarette lighter near the seat you can attatch your custom BMW leathers into for heating!* ;D
