Default Model railways

Not sure where this topic should go but hey...

I am wondering wether there are other railway modellers on this forum besides me and what gauge/gauges they model in (plus pics).

I have just started on a 3.5 x 5.5 foot N gauge layout with 4 loops and a shunting yard all DCC controlled. I also have a much smaller test layout while i build the big one so i can just run locos around on it.

I will try and get pictures for you tomorrow.

Cheers,
Unholy Harbinger

I don't use them for what they are meant to (or, more accurately, won't be), but I plan on using Plasticvilles O scale stuff for some good, old-fashioned rpg or Necromunda/Post-Apocalyptic terrain.

The buildings are snap together and when painted look great.

Oh yes, to the readers, if you ever wanted to learn casting techniques or get tips on it, Railway modelers are the super stash of info (more than likely).

I don't, but my father has an outstanding module. His club has won several awards at national every time it has been close in CA, and his own personal modelling is most excellent. He does stuff with HO scale; its really rather awesome.

Sorry, I don't have any pics either.

Back in the day, when I was but a wee duckling/yoof, my dad and I did quite a bit of the model railroad thing. I think we used HO scale. I wouldn't mind getting back into it but that is definitely a hobby that takes up a ton of space.

When I was about 8 or 9 I had a HO scale set. Me and my dad were gonna build a big display. It was gonna be a 6 section display (each section was about 6'x6&#39 with all the good stuff. But before we started building it all went into storage because we were gonna move. Then some bastard broke in and stole most of it. I had like 2 carriages and a couple bits of track left.

Just for anyone looking, here's some of the terrain that you can make out of train models.

More at http://www.skankgame.com/Articles.html, I don't want to link everything they have.

You can find the different stuff everywhere though, from hangars to ice cream stands.
I'm a big fan for the railway side of things.

I've always been interested in railway modelling, long before I ever got into the warhams - our whole family were always train nuts, myself included. I've always wanted to do my own layout, and I've got plenty of plans for it, it's just one of those things I've never got around to doing. I'd rather like to make a warhammer board with a little Imperial industrial narrow-gauge steam railway on it some day...it won't be happening any time soon (I've got an army or two to paint first :P), but it's a nice thought.

enderwiggin, those pictures make me think of a model based Fallout game for some reason. Very nice, but just have that feel.
