Well it certiantly works to a degree Calaban. But;
I don't think that this helps completely, that is the message itself is not designed for it ALL to referance a rectangle. Hence that will prevent the true message forming. Second, I believe the word wrap is jumping 2 chacaracters at a time. Hence you can't completely scroll through it.

Havign said that with TKs hints perhaps you can form the correct interpretation.

Yes there is a 'world' map. But you'll laugh when you see it and hate me for typing this sentance .

A HA!! I cracked it!! it says:
"So long! And thanks for all the Fish!!"

the second code clearly says
"The Cake is a LIE! The Cake is a LIE!!"

hehe naw j/k. I havent really tried to examin the code in any real detail [my 1400x900 screen rez makes that a fine print headache!] but taking what some have discovered and shared (how the beginning block is a sequence of 1-10 with their accompanyiong squares), and what I have shared (that wordwrapping it in different degrees reveals repeated "groups" of slightly similar "clusters"), I can entertain some ideas of how/where to go next:

1) use the beginning "reference block" of 1-10 to properly configure your view of the real message, presumably further down. I belive we did the same thing with our voyager gold record- the beginning of the record is mathematical mumbo jumbo that other mathemeticians [no matter what language or base numbering system] would get real info out of- in order to continue to the real message/data- we have to explain that WE humans use base 10 numbering system, and that indeed we knew of Pie, pythagorean theorum, prime numbers, higher mathematics I am uneducated in, etc.

2) study not just the dashes... but the blanks as well, as they may be the real code sequence- as in the chaotic jumble of galactic radio noise, pulses of data amid a hum of background noise is much less clearly detected and certain than a "carrier wave" of steady pulses, with noticeable "gaps" in IT being easier to detect and be much more certain that it is an inteded signal and not random interference elbowing its way into the signal by chance. just saying.

3) maybe the whole point of the "yes this code demonstrates that we understand squares" beginning is a further hint that maybe the code or image is 3d, and that we need to "square" the code along a 3d matrix to read it properly... OR that each block of date could possibly be different faces of a 3d cube or something like that. shyea!! good luck with THAT one.

4) taking all of Genmotty's hints in context makes me wonder: a) algorythm, b) somehow angry that it IS a world map, etc may further lead us in the proper direction.
Yeah kind of, but I think your trying to over complicate something that is designed to be easy to crack. 3D would be cubic would it not? So hence a cubic sequence might be more appropriate...?

I think TKs got the closest with simply reading and counting.
