Default whats in a name?

I figure a thread like this pops up every 6 months, but i might as well put one up again.

So, simple question: Why did you pick the name that is your handle, and what does it mean, if anything?

With me, Tiberius used to be my handle, but someone on Portent had already taken it, so was obliged to come up with a new one. Deadnight came from a song title "Deadnight Warrior" from a band called CHildren of Bodom.

To me, its a nice pun on knight, and as well, its a unique enough name that does not pop up on every forum (sephiroth_322 as an example). So, its uniqueness worked fro me quite nicely.

So, whats the story with you lot?

"What warriors of men can stand beside the Space Wolves! The Sons of Fenris they are, hardened in the forge of their harsh world, eager for battle and honour. They are the grey warriors, ashen like the wolf, whose greatest joy is to hear the clamour of steel amidst the din of war. None can step before them, they are the first, proud in their strength and jealous of their renown. Through the storms of the warp they come, upon the very tides of terror, but of such dangers they are uncaring. They are the Space Wolves, the Undefeated, the bane of the Emperor's foes."

..and..he loves his sword, and we love him.

Well, AfterCresent is my chosen name for ghost. As a child, i was considered a ghost, as even now, I'd rather observe instead of participating. Much like a ghost. Or In sports, for hockey, I play left defence, and Football, I play Stopper. Ghost is my nickname, as in a sport game, I appear out of nowhere everytime to save our team.

I have too many tags on me from various games and boards, so I'll stick with answering Auin'Myrrath.

I always liked the sound and look of m-y-r, so I rolled it into a Tauy name that I decided to have translate as 'Spirit of the Sword Incarnate', after my 40k house-rule avatars' swords and his skills with them.

I could devulge how I picked up Runefang, Trerinor of Whiteoak, Eythyier and Roanark Atrekis, but out of context (not to mention completely forgotten by me) they would make little sence.

Don't order your parts from ACME (which is a shoe company, by the way) and you should be okay.

I only started getting tags when I was at Uni. The first one was the signature I put on all of my drawings, stories, screenplays and poems... Quagmire. But it didn't appeal after finding out it was some robotics company name. So I went through a few more based on interests.

RedHawk: Military call sign in one of my screenplays.
Count Von Lego: Self explanitory I guess
PythonFan: Monty Python

And finally I decided to use something from my studies in Herpatology. Diplodactyllus Vittatus was a bit of a mouthful so the common name had to do... Wood Gecko. I like it, only get positive feedback on it, so far...
