Default Japan does it again

Just when you had seen it all:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOAPKxqutv8

The show is based on a Manga by the same name. When someone asked why they used Rabbits for American soldiers it was pointed out that they are U.S.A. G.I.'s, aka, usagi, the japanese word for rabbit.

It made me immediately think of the graphic novel Maus by Art Spiegelman.

That's what makes it brilliant.

If they can pull off a completely serious series with characters that look like that, I'll be impressed.

I'd also like to see a bunnystar galactica, but that's just me.

I agree with this. If they manage to make it just completely serious, all the way through and the only thing that suggests otherwise is the fact that there animals, Then I reckon it'd be brilliant.
Im loving the animation as well.

Oh wow... I wish that was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen Japan make, but it isn't.

I'd watch it though. Did anyone else spent the whole trailer working out whether the whole thing was racist? :P
