Yes.

Its why you never see them, you cannot distinguish between male and female.

As a scholar of the Discword school of fantasy, the answer in my eyes is yes.

No.

GW says so:

Warcraft says so as well:

But of course, they're still frakkin' ugly unless...

...okay, that GW model is ****ing scary. Why did you post that?

And I'm not sure "frakkin' ugly" is really fair, that chick in the first panel still looked cute. Never been a fan of the Jessica Rabbit physique.

According to Tolkien, Dwarf women dressed and looked enough like Dwarf men that they were indistinguishable. In fact, he states that the common misconception that Dwarf women are rare originates from the fact that most people can't tell them apart (outside of Dwarves, of course). However, he makes no mention of Dwarf women actually having beards. It could just be that they look similar to Dwarf male youths...which would be my best guess. As Tolkien practically invented Dwarves, I'd take his version as canon.

Isn't the biggest nerd topic the Star Wars vs Star Trek debate?

I always thought it was pirates vs ninjas...

But I digress... I guess the beards or not debate depends on what series you read, what game system you play and what films you watch. Being (another) avid discworld follower, and with Tolkein neither confirming or disproving it, I'd always assumed that dwarf women had beards.

I am a Ninja (really I am... I have qualifications in it! I'm a 4th Kyu)

But isn't Kirk vs. Picard?

Its debateable. Certain races of dwarf women would have and certain races wouldnt.
