Default The 2009 oscars

(I'm not sure if this has been done already but sorry if it has)

So that time of year had come and gone wear the all the stars turn out in their best frocks and shiny gold men are handed out to the best actors and directors. Now its time for everyone's reaction to the winners and losers. Who do you think should have walked away with the awards and why?

I'm personally pretty glad that Heath Ledger won the best supporting actor award but a lot of people are wondering whether he really would have won it if he hadn't of died before hand.

Heath Ledger had every right to win that award. His performance in the Dark Knight was phenomenal, I haven't seen such quality acting in a long time. It doesn't matter if he's alive right now or not, his family can accept the award on his behalf and I'm sure they'd treasure it. The fact still remains that he was an outstanding Joker. He deserved the Oscar.

True but I'm mainly suprised because comic book movies are never really taken into serious consideration for the bigger awards e.g Best picture, Best director. But Heath was a standout candidate in a particularly weak category this year

Batman and Spiderman, to name a couple, have had highly succesful films. They both originated from comics, so here I think your point is wrong. The Dark Knight was simply a league above the rest in its genre, and Ledger demonstrated that.
