Default My imaginary animal: Take a look and rate!

Ok here's a discription of my animal:

The Medokue.

"A long and sleek beast, with an elongated jaw and sharp fangs protruding from its ghastly mouth. With it's front legs longer and more powerful than it's back legs, it can sprint short distances and rumour has it that it can outrun a cheetah in short bursts. It's back is covered in a mixture of hair and hideous spikes for gashing horses when it charges underneath them. It's eyes are on the sides of it's face, with a terrible gleaming death-lust burning fiercly within the pupils.

Sometimes, the beast can be tamed from birth, and a rider can mount it at will, who it has a distinct bond for, like a brother. When charging at a man, the rider urges his steed onwards, and its mouth opens, revealing gleaming sharp bloodstained teeth. This, as anyone can imagine, is enough for all but the bravest or most foolish of men to run away.

These animals mate as dogs do, and the new-borns are always fully grown in all but body, with its mind bent on all the Medokue mindscape of killing. These animals feed on all types of other animals, even resorting to cannibalism when all other prey have left."

"The rider sits on a protective saddle when riding the Medokue. If he does not want to use a saddle, he usually cuts off the spikes. This causes the animal great pain, and sometimes results in the bond of friendship being lost. This is why most use the saddle. The saddle is screwed on to the spikes, lifting the rider up. The rider is not hurt by the spikes, but as the saddle is raised, it is very uncomfortable for the rider on long distance patrols."

How do you like it?

I'll give you a three here. This is ok as an animal but I think it is a tad too viscious....

Ok, who voted the "useless git" option, and who voted 5?

...nothing really wrong with the animal, though it sounds more like a monster than anything. But that last poll option scares me.

It's decidedly too vicious for this planet, but it wouldn't be that bad save one problem: If it's back is covered by spikes to gouge animals from below, how is a rider going to sit on it? It sounds alot like Windows Vista .

Pfft...

I forgot to add "The rider sits on a protective saddle when riding the Medokue. If he does not want to use a saddle, he usually cuts off the spikes. This causes the animal great pain, and sometimes results in the bond of friendship being lost. This is why most use the saddle. The saddle is screwed on to the spikes, lifting the rider up. I've added it to the start as well...

Now 3 more people add the useless git option, I will hunt you down and seel your entrails as jump-ropes! Grr...
