Default How the British view America.

Warning!

This is about celebrity Brits, the leader of which is as blokish as a fat, balding darts player who drinks pints and thinks the Speed Limit applies only to the Germans, and why we all think Americans are idiots. Those who don't want to see America in the worst light since George Dubya last spoke, look away now.

For the rest of us, enjoy!

Top Gear American road-trip. Part 1.
Part 2.
Part 3.
Part 4.
Part 5. - The first section of the "Redneck" section.
Part 6. - The second "Redneck" section.
Part 7.

It's the "Redneck" section is what you want to watch... it's mad.

For those who want a summary...

The trio drive from Florida to New Orleans. Throughout, they do many bizarre things (including eating Roadkill...). One of the things they do is drive through the bible-belt with graffiti on their cars, with the challenge "don't get arrested, or shot."

They almost fail.

They then decide to give away their cars in New Orleans... and Clarkson gets threatened with a lawsuit.

I think it is very funny but if I'm not mistake Jeremy Clarkson is not a darts player.

I'm not sure how you want us to reply though.

Ah, I watched that episode of Top Gear the other day, 'twas good. I cant believe that hammond was still wearing his cowboy hat after what May put on his pickup truck though.

I would be carefull in replying though as this could be considerd anti-american slander.

(though I did read in The Daily Mail the other day that an American from Phillidelphia wrote a bok saying that great britain was responsible for all the worlds problems :)

Yeah, I watched that episode and it was indeed hilarious, if not border line stupid. I mean c'mon, when they were driving through Alabama with those slogans painted on their cars they were asking to get... well... hurt. It's a bit like driving through the roughest council estate in Britain in a Rolls Royce with money glued to it.

[Edit: I removed this part of the reply as I felt it was Unnecessary.]

Ah... sorry... I got carried away there, but anyway I did find that episode quite funny. :funny:

Well, I guess I am not surprised that an Englishman can drive from Florida to Lousiana and think that he has been on the Great American Road Trip.

Wonder how they chose that? Guess the only way to make it worse would be to start in South Carolina and end in Brownsville, Texas via Atlanta, Georgia, Alabamba and Missisippi :

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?
