Default XP>Vista

first, this does not belong in the computer section because it is nowhere near objective or anything, just me being pissed-off because I like XP better...

So I got a new laptop the other day, and I liked my desktop which had XP on it... I am in for a surprise to find that Vista has infected my laptop and is screwing everything up... I hate it, Vista is complete and total garbage... I thought I'd give ti a shot first though, and that has only served to cement my conviction; I try to run some of my games and I have to install them 2 or 3 times before they actually work and the layout is weird, there are a lot of things that are completely and totally useless (like the little sidebar that has a clock and a calendar on it, but you could find those things out by moving your cursor over the clock in the bottom right)...

So the moral of the story is, don't upgrade to Vista, it sucks (I just want my XP back!)

Ooh, nasty. This is why I will upgrade to Vista in about a years time, basically when it has had the bugs ironed out, and is a public releasable version. Until then, I ain't touching it.

Sorry for your troubles dude, I know what it can be like *shudders*

Lucky for me I don't have the cash for a new comp right now, so I'll also end up getting it after Microshaft irons out the bugs. A friend of mine got a new computer recently and apparently hasn't had much trouble with Vista, but from what he says it's pretty much impossible to avoid these days

Yeah, Microsoft might be moving to make Xp outdated by simply removing every copy avaiable. However when even magazines like MaximumPC tell people to hold off on getting it you ahve to wonder.

I still use XP. I've heard how bad Vista is. Might try Vista when it's been worked on a little bit more, but for now XP is fine with me.

I've been trying to talk a friend out of installing Vista, but he won't listen. :-\
