Default I think I'm now hooked, cheers Tim :) (Anime Topic)

Well, after Tim introduced me to Elfen Lied, I have now watched 4 episodes at time of typing (so glad she didn't kill the poor lil puppy ).

I've also briefly glanced at Ghost in the Shell, and it looks brilliant, so I'm looking into getting that.

Anyone able to reccommend anymore along the lines of GitS (lolz.....)??

And I also want to say thanks to Tim, for introducing me to Elfen Lied, and making me want to actually go out and watch more of this, as before it was just a "meh, looks good, might get round to it eventually"

You're welcome Thor.

As for reccomendations first and foremost I urge you to get all the DVDs of Elfen Lied (Not sure if your using DVDs or Youtube, if it's the latter make sure you pick up the DVDs at some point.)

I also must reccomend Neon Genesis Evangelion because it bleedin' rules although I've only seen the first 4 episodes.

I'm also very attatched to a series called Chrono Crusade (or Chrno Crusade in some places). It's a good little series although sometimes it finds it hard to draw a line between action and comedy, although later volumes really pick up.

Scrapped Princess is a really great fantasy series despite the fact that I've only seen the first 4 episodes.

Also any film by Hayao Miyazaki should recieve serious attention.

Ah... I love Ghost in the Shell. Especially Stand Alone Complex.

ELFEN LIED PWNS!!!

Sorry, had to say that. I've seen through episode 13 now, and was so sad since the uploader said it was the last one. But now I just saw a #14...and hopefully many, many more to come!

Thor,

I like all of the above, and heres a few more: Fantasy Adventure/Comedy - "The Slayers", Modern Vampire Action - "Hellsing"; Futuristic Vampire Action/Sci-fi - vampire Hunter D; Decent (but not too sappy) Giant Mecha/Romance/Sci-Fi with a Viet-Nam twist - Mobile Suit Gundam 08th MS Team (This one is specific, there are a gazillion Gundam Series, I vouch for this one, and this one alone...); Sci-Fi/Action/Cyberpunk - Armitage III and Battle Angel Alita; Sci-Fi Western - Trigun.

This scratches the surface,
Ged

I'm a HUGE manga fan. But I watch anime every night ^_^

I'm more a fan of manga though. I own over 20 manga series(not just books) I own probably about 50-ish manga Probably more :P

I'm the self proclaimed TO's #1 anime fan. ;D

In that case, so is sex. Therefore, pornstars and prostitutes are professional athletes.

Hehe. I just saw up to #8 of elfen lied, the poor dog! I can't blame lucy for how she is after she went through that, and it definatly makes you think about a lot of things you wouldn't normally consider.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm gonna look into GitS, and NGE, I've also seen some episodes of Bubblegum Crisis when they had it on Sci-Fi channel.

Now sounding like a n00b.. lol, whats the difference between anime and manga? Is it just the hairstyles (lol)?

Edit: Just watched the first episode of GitS, from Tv Links. I love that theme tune, same with Elfen Lied. Gonna have to get a season or two for when I finish Elfen Lied methinks.
