Default Ye old Versus discussion.

You probably had it at one time or another had a conversation like this. By that I mean the somewhat corny discussion of Star Wars Vs. Star Trek. Well in the name of senseless threads here is a new contender, how does 40k stack up to the two big names of Science Fiction?

Can I just say pwned.

Emporer Class Battle Ship taking on a Star Destroyer? BlackStone Fortress or Planet Killer taking on the Death Star?

No.
Chance.

As for Star Trek ... just send in a boarding party and most of them would already have a puddle by their foot.

To be fair, the Emperor Class Battleship is about 3km long.

Enterprise D is about 670m.

Star Destroyers are 1km.

Super-Star Destroyers are about 20-30km long.

Star Wars has too big a budget.

And then for Star Wars you have the even larger Star Destroyers featured in some books, the night indestructable Planet Crusher (now parked in a Black Hole), the Dark Sabre (reincarnation of the Death Star, basically), and many other massive, planet destroying devices. Star Wars would destroy either of the two, though the troops in 40k are far superior. The Craftworlds would likely be a bitch to take down, though the human worlds would fall far more easily.

Star Trek wouldn't stand a chance against either. But still, I don't assume we're talkinga bout fights...

Background wise, I say Star Wars hands down. GW screws up 40ks background far to much, making it bad, and I just never, ever, liked Star Trek. In fact, I nearly despise it, though I supposed one day that may change...

Well one of the major problems with Star Trek is they've gone all "let's be friends" on us! Bloody stupid! We don't want peace talks, we want photon torpedoes!

Star Crusher, that's what it was called.... And yeah, the Darksabre didn't work, but it could have.
