Default Sasqwatch AKA bigfoot

do you believe that this lovable chunk of fur is real?
do you believe that he is the missing link?
discuss

personally i believe he is real,or rather they are,the species of sasqwai
i don't believe that he is the missing link however,i think that its well established that we cant agree on where we came from

well he cant be the missing link. according to the theory of evolution he would ahve evolved into something closer to the modern human by now, or gone back to its feral nature anf be closer to a monkey. it really wouldn't ahve jsut stayed their half way between(this is all according to my biology teacher)

i dont think he is real either, i can see how so many species of fish go un discovered in the depths of the ocean. but hwo such a big creature, in such a relaticly urbanized area could not ahve been found is just stupid. i mean in all the years people ahve lived in the area(northern california, right?) no one has yet found a corpse, or a skeleton, or a nest or anything. and its not like it can really hide very well. its a massive gorilla looking creature, its hardly going to blend in with the rest of the wild life

doubt it. the theories i think are plausible are:

1) God made us from nothing
2) we evolved from a common ancestor to monkies, sor to like species A split into two things, species B)humans and species C) monkies
or 3) God made us through evolution, guiding the genetic mutations and finally embueing us with thought reason, and self awareness.

but please guys lets not have this turn into a debate on evolution(yeah i helped alot trying to stop that didnt i)

Humans evolved from APES, not monkeys. Now.....It may exist. It probably isn't the missing link, as apparently no creature in our direct evolutionary path would have been that big, although I ain't arrogant enough to assume that i know everything.

There was (several thousand years ago) a giant ape species called Gigantopythicus (sp?). Eight feet tall standing straight up. It died out well before us little humans started really taking off. Maybe there were still small pockets of survivors that started the legends? Maybe there still are pockets of survivors.

There is an actual scientific survey going on in America. You can learn more here: http://www.bfro.net/

I don't think every variant is true. I srsly doubt the existence of the Sasquatch for example.

However I can see how the Tibetan bigfoot can be true, in that that area has just so little people its entirely possible they may have lived on unnoticed.

I forgot the name, but wasn't there one group of humans (forgot the name) that survived in the pacific islands until like....as close as one thousand years ago or something?

They were basically midgets, the fully grown is the size of a five year old human, their existence was just formerly confirmed (overwhelming chances are they're extinct now of course) and they weren't too advanced (I don't think they could rival Neanderthals)

My point is reported sightings of humanoid creatures appear all around the world.
