Donald Duck (Specificly by Don Rosa).

Thought I read plenty of others too like (but not just)
Asterix, Lucky Luke,Tintin, Dark/black pages by Franquin, Schlock Mercenary(There is no "overkill", there is only "open fire" and "I need to reload"), Sinfest, Dorktower, Penny Arcade, 8-bit Theater, TSOALR, Lost In Space, Ironfist Chimney...

I like comics. Sue me.

Easily, unequivocally, the BEST comic I've ever seen. Moving beyond belief, well-crafted characters the likes that the best modern novelists have trouble reproducing, an absolute masterful use of symbolism and imagery, and a story that's so real you could be one step away from living it. And that's to say nothing of its simple beauty of artistry.

Honestly if I had the cash I'd print his story FOR him it's so good.
Just a fox, a whisper.
