Default Favorite interpretations of hell

I just thought it was be interesting to have everybody post their favorite ideas of what hell is. These are my top two, I'll post more when I can think of them:

A gambler dies and goes to Heaven. St. Peter meets him at the gates and tells him how it works. Everything goes how he wants it. He wants a girl to like him, it happens, he wants the dice to roll his way, they roll, he wants to win a game, he wins. He thinks to himself that it is pretty cool. He walks in, and sits down at a poker table. Well, of course, every gambler's dream is to win every hand of poker. So he plays for a while, and wins, a lot. He wins everybody's money and gets up and goes to play craps. He can make the dice roll for him every time. Again, he wins a ton and walks off. After a while, he gets kind of bored of this, and wishes he could start losing. So then, he starts losing every hand, only to realize that when he gets tired of losing, he'll win a hand, because his mind wants to. So, he goes up to St. Peter and tells him he wants to go to hell, that he can't take it here, he's tired of winning when he wants to win, tired of losing when he wants to lose. Saint Peter stands there for a few seconds looking at him, stares him straight and the eye and says, "Where do you think you are?"

You, named A for purposes of this, are in a room with two other people. You love one of them, named B for simplicity. It is the most powerful love you have ever felt in your life and every moment you spent with them is heartache a million times over. However, there is another person in the room, named C for simplicity. You hate them more than anything. All the anger you have ever felt in your life a million times over. These emotions are replicated throughout the room. A loves B, but B hates A. B loves C, but C hates B. C loves A, but A hates C. Someone must leave the room, but if you leave the room you leave the love of your life, and you leave them in there with someone who they hate more than anything. Someone must leave. But who?

Yeah, but Joe, if you through the guy you hate out, then the person you love just had their heart ripped out and lost someone they love more than anybody or anything else and trapped them in a room with someone they hate. Can you really do that to them?

You know I didn't eat a pineapple for two weeks after I saw that movie? Every time I saw a pineapple I thought of Hitler's... welll... yeah.

Only part of life is hell. Indeed, times in life seem that they are true hell, albeit, there are happy times as well. Our mind inately remembers pain better than happiness. Note my sig.

Oh, right. In that case, I'd leave and go to find a drink.

Hell is a place in Norway.

Or London, if you believe Craig Charles.

Anyway, because I'm in a suitably pessimistic, fatalistic, mood...

...Hell is the mind. Our minds can bind us stronger than any chains, can give us pain and suffering, can torment and torture us, make us feel that whatever course we take will end in failure, and that taking no course will fail us as well... Our minds can betray us very easily, and no matter how far we run, or where we hide, we can never escape our minds, save in death.

That is hell.

I personally believe it is either in Wyoming, North or South Dakota. Or Siberia or West China

For me- hell would be anything permanent. Any general state that never changes- permanent pleasure, permanent pain, after a while it would all feel the same.

And that would suck.
