Just started with Eldar, wanted to put together a larger list to see what I needed to buy. This is what I'm looking at at the moment, so feel free to critique away. The general plan was to use the Wraithguard unit with the farseer attached and the two Wraithlords to form a very hard 'center', while the rest of the army works around them either push the enemy into them, or pick them apart if they spread out to avoid the large durable force.

Maugan Ra is meant to join up with the Harelquins to combine fire with the Deathjester for a mobile, high rate of fire point that can easily handle itself in close combat as well. Kind of a back/mid field trouble shooting force.

I also planned to use the same general 'force' for smaller games by removing units to scale it down. 1500 points, removing the Warwalker, Ra, the Harlequins, and Pathfinders.

Good list but have made a common mistake. Harlequins should only be used for an assault role (herding or chasing or butchering), not death jester shooting. Replacing Death Jester + War Walker with a Reaper squad would be better as Maugan body guard.
Generaly good list with a few tweeks would be really powerful (tournament power). Jetbikes would give needed speed and a tank would provide shooty/fast transport (not to mesion reliable).

Ummm, you are very wrong Jimmy. Harlequins do better as a slowly shoot the opponent, tease them whilst moving up, then trapping and eliminating them. And Maugan ra doesn't need a body guard, he does better by himself. He is a combat monster with a assault weapon that goes through near anything....

Yeah, switch the Storm Guardians for some Jetbikes and a Warlock with Enhance or Destructor. It'll add more anti-hoard fire.

I have a diference of opinion, Harlequins aren't designed for use of death jester (cool model however). Correction, they are designed but experience from me and most people show harlequins are dedicated to combat (and blowing up a tank or 2 on the way with fusion gun).

Harlies have 6" range, at that distance they would be in pieces after next enemy shooting phase.

I think Death Jester is fine. With Shadowseer he can shoot from 24" and most likely no one will be able to return fire. Of course they should sooner or later go for close combat as only that way they could take thery points back. Or am I wrong?
