Default raiding eldar

This idea and army list were inspired after reading a post by boneguard on the dark elder board.

http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=76273.0
http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=77447.0

This represents a fledgling not-so-dark elder raiding force. Its focus is on speed with out using the obvious dark elder stuff (i.e. raiders, webway) but trying to represent the technologies of the dark elder in its experimental stages, hence the elder codex seemed the better choice out of the two.
Opinions would be much appreciated, just remember this army list is made for fluff, not competitive gaming ^_^

Autarch- 115
Warp jump generator
Mandiblasters
Power weapon

Autarch- 110
Swooping hawks wings
Mandiblasters
Power weapon

10x Striking scorpions- 197
Exarch
Biting blade
Shadowstrike

5x Swooping hawks- 147
Exarch
Sun rifle
Sky leap

5x Swooping hawks- 147
Exarch
Sun rifle
Sky leap

5x Swooping hawks- 105

10x Guardians- 100
Elder missile launcher

3x Guardian jetbikes- 76
Shuriken catapult

Total- 997

The models will be made of mostly dark elder models as bases and dark eldar bits to give the less of an elder feel

Here’s an explanation of each unit in the cross over;

Autrach-
They are what are to become the archon and drachon. The archon is sporting a prototype of a webway portal (the warp jump gen). This allows him to jump from his command post to his body guards that have infiltrated into the heart of the enemy so the archon can harvest the ripest slaves. The drachon plays a supporting role with his new raiding support squads.

Striking scorpions-
Obviously acting as the leaders personal bodyguards (incubi). The biting blade is to represent a prototype punisher. I will model them to have the back/shoulder decoration of the incubi and two handed punisher like chain weapons, I’m questioning whether to us striking scorpion models or dark elder warriors with the incubi looking head.

Swooping hawks-
Here is what I want to use to represent as the first scourges, playing a supporting role to raids with light covering fire. I was thinking of using dark elder warriors and swooping hawk wings.

Guardians-
Your bog standard warriors here. The elder missile launcher is to represent the first disintegrator, salvaged and adapted from a downed falcon’s bright lance. Just going to use dark elder warriors with a grav platform with a disintegrator on (pretty simple).

Guardian jetbikes-
The start of the reavers. I thought the simplicity of guardian jetbikes represented a squad finding its own tactics and training on the battle field better than, the already elite, shining spears. I am going to use dark elder bikes base as a base, that way it keeps the simple slick design of the elder with the beautiful spiky look of the dark eldar.

i was also thinking of using vipers to represent experimental ravagers.

It looks nice, their is only one problem. The autarch has a warp jump generator, I have two solutions.
1. Drop the generator for wings and stick him with a Hawk squad.
2. Drop a Hawk squad for a team of Warp Spiders and stick the autarch there, that way, if he roles double 1's, he can put it on someone else. I personally like this way more as it keeps the archon + drachon idea and lets them both have bodyguard.
Over all, its a great idea. I could imagine their being some problems with WYSIWYG

he's ment to be with the stricking scorpions (as they are the incubi here) but to get the best out of them i know i'll have to infiltrate them, that's why he has the warp jump gen (that way i get game play and fluff) and i think warp spiders are just to different to incubi (in that there very short range shooty)

i'll agree, WYSIWYG is going to be tricky, but luckily the people at my local gw love playing imaginative armies (as long as the rules for it work) but if anyone has model suggestions i would love to hear them.
i'l try and put picks up too if someone could tell me how.

I think the troop choices are too slim. I can't imagine how you woult take more than one objective at best. Other than that I like that hawk spam

Now I realise you have more than 3 fast attack choices... am I understanding this wrong? Is this some kind of special scenario army?

No he is good.

Striking scorpion are elite.

The guardian and the jetbike are troops

the Hawk are Fast.

The autarch are HQ

Is list is completely legal. Although i agree with you, his troop choise are pretty slim and could be a problem.

PS: avoid double post please, use the edit button instead.

In that case a would create with friends some nice scenario for it and throw away thous limitations for scoring units and minimum troop choices.
