I never even knew this topic existed.

My name is The All-father (or Monti, if you want to get all Buddy-buddy) I've played 40K for the better part of 8 years now. I started the game with Dark Eldar- a difficult race to start out with- however haven't played a game with them for over four years now. Hopefully that will change, if I can get some people that I know to play. My army is The Kabal of the Reaping Scythe.

My most used units are Raider Squads and Mandrakes. I rarely use Wyches or Warpbeasts. My favored HQ is the Archon, though occasionally I use a Dracon. As for Tactics, I normally use a lot of Mandrakes, keeping opponents on their toes until the units are revealed. I also have a fluid playing style- with any army- that normally prevents people from predicting my strategies.

I'm always striving to improve- but I need to play games to do that!

Default Introduction of a (somewhat) new DE player

Name: LtCariad
How long have you played 40K/ Dark Eldar: 3 years/1 year
Your geographic location: North of Sweden
Cabal Name: Cabal of the Untamed Blood
Typically employed units: Wyches, Reavers, Mandrakes
Least employed units: Raider squads, Grotesques, Hellions
HQ of choice: Archon on Jetbike, PW, ShF, Drugs
Tactical/Strategic Strengths: Firm handle on WWP:s, good initial coordination
Areas you'd like to improve: Timing and finishing off opponents. I find I often start out well, but struggle to bring it all home sometimes.

[quote=Yriel of Iyanden]
Hail lords, ladies, and masters of the Dark Kin,

I am hoping you can introduce yourselves. Tell us about you!

[b]Name: Java De Great
How long have you played 40K/ Dark Eldar:[6 months previously played Tua]
Your geographic location: (Pretoria South Africa
Cabal Name: (Java of Pain)
Typically employed units: (Warriors with 2 x Dark Lances + 1 baster, Wynches on a Raider, 2 x Talos)
Least employed units: (mandrakes and Grotesques)
[b]HQ of choice:[Lord + Incubi]
Tactical/Strategic Strengths: (Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids, Chaos (With out Obliterators). Dark Angels of the Space Marines gave me a good fight. Best is to stay out of range and out of sight of all their big shooting things. Pick of the isolated units one by one.)
Areas you'd like to improve: (Would want to use a Wynch army)

And some questions that might help:

1) Fill in the blank: I would love to use Grotesques in my Dark Eldar army, but would like to learn more on how to use them/it.

2) I am currently painting/modeling _______, and could use some feedback/advice.

3) Do you have a particular goal with your Dark Eldar army? (Try to be on a winning streak as long as possible).

NAME: Behdini
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING 40K/DE: Err... not sure.
YOUR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Cambridge MA, USA
CABAL NAME: don't have one yet
TYPICALLY EMPLOYED UNITS: n/a
LEAST EMPLOYED UNITS: n/a
HQ OF CHOICE: n/a
TACTICAL/STRATEGIC STRENGTHS: n/a
AREAS YOU'D LIKE TO IMPROVE: I am a new DE player and this will be my first army (although I'm going to follow/pair it with a Renegades & Rebels FW rebel IG one...), so... yeah. I'm new to actually building an army.

1)I WOULD LOVE TO USE Hellions and Reaver jetbikes IN MY DARK ELDAR ARMY BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ON HOW TO USE THEM

2)

3) DO U HAVE A PARTICULAR GOAL WITH YOUR DARK ELDAR ARMY? i would really like to get a Wych army up and maybe win a tournament with them

Name: MXBlade
How long have you played 40K/ Dark Eldar: 5 years and 4 years

Your geographic location: Michigan, USA
Cabal Name: Cabal of the Burning Brand
Typically employed units: Archon, Raider squads, Mandrakes, and Ravagers.
Least employed units: Hellions and Scourges
HQ of choice: Archon
Tactical/Strategic Strengths : I tend to use a fast hard hitting force mounted in raiders, backed by ravagers. I use almost all the infantry types in my army but always mounted. I also use at least 1 squad of mandrakes for disruption purposes.
Areas you'd like to improve: I donít use the portal much; I just havenít gotten that good at it and would like to use it more.

And some questions that might help:

1) Fill in the blank: I would love to use Hellions in my Dark Eldar army, but would like to learn more on how to use them/it. Scourges are also cool, but I think both need to be changed as their costs and abilities arenít in sync with the current rules. I do use Taloi but they also need fixing so I donít use them often.

2) I am currently painting/modeling raiders, ravagers, and Bikes, and just finished 120 warriors to make 6 complete 20 strong squads.

3) Do you have a particular goal with your Dark Eldar army? I would just like to have all of them painted to a good standard. I have a large collection and it is taking a long time. At first I didnít like the warriors but now that I have mine painted I am very pleased with them (they look very wicked).

name - Carnelianstar
time playing 40k/de - begining of 3rd ed / first codex
location -Georgia
cabal - Cabal of Broken Skulls
most deployed units - scourges w/SC, mandrakes, ravager w/3 dissies
least - grotesques, hellions, jet bikes
HQ - Archon w/Incubi retinue including Incubi Master & dracite in a boat of whyches
Tactics often employed - over run with raiders full of warriors plus two raiders with higher impact assault units, intimidation with mandrakes, while shooting them to ribbons, then at some point the scourges drop in and light up any troublesome units
Note - I love my scourges. I use them always, wish they could take assault weapons.
Goals -
1) Have complete models of any and every option available, I have just about collected the models, just need to start building the last of them
2) Hope a new rule set some day makes it possible to use hellions again as I have many
3) Build and use jet bikes. I know, DE player not fielding bikes, but I like my raiders.
4) Paint everything to match
