Default Wyches

well i was thinking about some wych's i saw this guy playing with the other day and they are about the best cc troop that has been released.

They break down enemy WS by 1/2 this is amazing
Also they remove the bonus for 2 weps from the enemy
Strike at I6
Succubus has an agonizer.
4+ invulnerable in combat.

So any standard enemy melee troops has ws 4 same as your wychs this beccomes wych 4WS enemy 2WS wytches hit ona 2+ enemy hits ona 5+

Wychs have 2 attacks enemy melee troops usually have arround 2 changing it to 1

Now wychs can survive powerwep attacks this means wych can beat terminators easily especially with that agonizer

also with i6 they strike b4 most of thier enemy's. Agonizer with 4 attacks means that 2 of thier models will die b4 they ever hit back.

Can we say SEXY?

Well, half of the wyches are guys... So I'll leave the sexy part alone.

Just as a note, it is impossible to hit on a 2+ without very special rules that let you. The wyches can only hit on a 3+ at best.

Go the wyches!

Wych weapons only affect the enemy WS for their attacks against the Wyches, not for the Wyches attacks against the enemy. The 4th edition DE FAQ is very unhelpfully worded on this subject, but if you read it carefully then you'll see it's the case. Same rules as before, in essence.

They still rock though, easily one of the best units in an assault - and one of the worst units out of one. In 4th ed, if a Wych Raider gets shot-down then it's all but 'game over' for the Wych passengers.

yep it is a double edged knife indeed. The trick is to not let them shoot down your raider.

That tends to help, yes.
Hiding all the dice and range rulers might help here too.

Golden rules for DE, Fast but Fragile.
Don' worry about how the enemy is going to kill you, given the average toughness a save of the DE, thats going to happen anyway. I reccomend worrying about how you are going to kill the enemy first!
