Default Moderator Question

Can I become a mod? I have too much free time to know what to do with and it seems like each day drags on. I play Eldar and work on my army everyday, and work on my army everyday, and still have many hours to spair.

Well, firstly, to be blunt, to be a mod you need to at elast have an idea of the right places to post things. This is a sguuestion, question, or comment, hence, really the wrogn place.

Secondly, to be a mod, you need to have firstly become a well known and well respected member, and I'm afriad that, since you are so new, you don't qualify.

Thirdly, the space needs to be open for a new moderator, and the Eldar board is covered by rezzy right now.

Lastly, it's a safe bet that asking to be a mod is more likely to ensure you are never going to be a mod. It's not a fun task: you become unpopular with some people. You have to say things that annoy people (like this) and you have to deny people something they'd like. You need to keep the peace, and that can sometimes be very stressful. So in short, being a mod is a voluntary role that people are asked to do on places such as this. It's nice that people are willing to volunteer without being asked, which I belive is the case here. But all too often, people think it some status symbol, think it makes them special or even immune from the other moderators. It doesn't really: it means you just get the coushion of demotion from ebing a mod before the warnings for minorly-major offences. I may be a global, but that only means I enforce the rules. The rules can affect me.

So, sorry, it's a polite no thank you. But in time, after you've become well respected amongst the other users, and if rezzy should decide to step down, or some other vacancy emerge... maybe you might.

Sorry once again, but please, enjoy TO, and get stuck into putting creative points into them topics!
