Default Warp Spiders, Seer counciel or Fire Dragons?

Now i've just started my eldar army and have yet to test them out in battle bar a very small (400pts) battle against Chaos. I so far have:
20x guardians
10x Dire Avengers
5x Dark Reapers
2X warlocks
1X Eldard (I use him as a farseer in small games)

Now I'm just wondering what should be my next choice...
I love psyker (hence why im playing Eldar) and would love some new warlocks but see it as a silly move and its probably just my want for more psykers lol

Warp Spiders sound like they could do almost anything on the battle field from taking out light amour to taking out troops, and telaporting all over the battlefield sounds fun

Fire Dragons out be great to take out that amour but thats really there only use at all, and to me that seems a bit of a waist of money at this size of army :S

Anyway any advice out be great

Fire Dragons have pretty powerful weaponry when it comes to dealing with enemy armour, but the problem is to make them effective you need to purchase a transport to get them within range of their targets. Otherwise they'll probably be ripped apart before they can get close. However, you could use two squads of Guardians to attempt to cover the Dragons, but I doubt that will be highly effective.

I particularly like Warp Spiders, but for some reason they don't seem to be that common. I would say they're a good choice, with exceptional weaponry. However, if your opponent is slightly knowledgeable they'll know that the Spiders could be a real hassle behind his lines and so he'll target them. This is both to your advantage and disadvantage. The thing with the Eldar, is that they have so many elite units, that if you field enough of them your opponent is forced to make serious decisions about which ones to go for. So, if he decides the Spiders are the biggest threat, then you can concentrate on getting your Banshees into combat as soon as possible and causing terrible amounts of damage.

I would personally take more Warlocks, but with Jetbikes. Along with Singing Spears they'll be pretty formidable to just about anything. Sure, your opponent may concentrate on them, but that just allows you to cause more damage with your Dire Avengers and Eldrad Ulthran. As I previously mentioned, if you include enough deadly units then some won't make it, whilst the remaining units will win you the game. You're lacking in anti-tank, and whilst the Fire Dragons would provide this, Warlocks prove to deal more of a punch and are also more versatile, especially with the Jetbikes. Whereas the Dragons would be reliant on hiding or a Transport.

Try to maximise the ability of your Dire Avengers by taking advantage of their Exarch and also their enhanced Shuriken Catapults. Compared to the majority of your other units they won't appear too threatening to your opponent, allowing you to get them close to the frontline and knock down swathes of infantry. Also, use the Guardians to support them by sustaining fire and receiving it.

I've already said it twice, but third time's the charm: by including several deadly units (mainly Aspect Warriors) you will force your opponent to prioritise, allowing you to take advantage of that and deal punishment with the units he ignores. It's similar to a balanced Tyranid list; if you focus on the Monstrous Creatures, then all the 'Gaunts get you, and vice versa.

By your advice i think i will go war spiders, my friends underestimate Eldar A LOT, they think they are hopeless (that's why i took them up) so it could be funny porting behind is men and yelling SURPRISE!

Warlocks would be good but i have something against fast attack bikes and so on, I just don't play them well and never have any interest in them, I play very heavy on troops and light amour

Yes Warp Spiders and Fire Dragons either would be ok... But you may want to transfer over to a Mechinized force ground pounding Eldar die too fast after teh spiders you may want to invest in wave serpents.. 2 or 3 then dragons and banshees,,,, or even Harliquins they eat marines too

I find that Banshees are more effective that Harlies at taking down MEQ's in 5th Edition since rending got nerfed. A Wave Serpent would definitely be a good investment to go with Dragons.

I played against someone one time who put Spiders in a Serpent, he was adamant it worked, but I wasn't so sure.

I think any of those 3 are good. Fire dragons aren't just good against armor, like you implied. They are good against anything big and nasty: just 5 dragons with a transport will have Hive Tyrants, Demons, Land raiders, Dreads, princes, Fex, all scared. The only thing they don't do is waste shots gunning down light infantry. I think they are our best specialist unit. Spiders I don't like because the models are ugly, but they are very versatile and I have seen them used before they don't disappoint. Warlocks are usually an aesthetic choice for me I just think they look cool. You'll only need 1 more to field a squad. Problem with warlocks is that they are ridiculously expensive.

My favorite Warlock formation includes a single farseer and 5 warlocks. The farseer has 'mind war', 1 warlock has a spear and 'enhance', the rest have destructor. Stick the group in a holofield falcon to make sure they get where you want them... then you drop, mindwar the hidden powerfist/klaw sergeant, throw the spear, destructor 4 times (4 heavy flamers is pretty sick), and charge the remnants. It's a pointsy formation but it will bring down anything you point it at.

Let him know that's illegal, Warp Spiders are jump infantry.
