Default Autarch Models

How do you all get your models to match your options. I'm buying the 1st of my budding army, and i noticed only 2 Autarch models on the GW site.

One with Mandiblaster, Scorpion Chainsword, Warp Jump Generator, and a Fusion Gun. The other with Power Weapon, Shuriken Pistol, Swoop Hawk Wings, and maybe a Banshee Mask.

So, what do you do if you don't want those options on your Autarch? ???

Oh good. (whew) I assumed they were metal models, and the only metal models i've had the pleasure of messing with didn't have a blister pack.

FYI. I like the Power weapon, Mandiblaster, Fusion Gun set up for a cool 100pts. 6 Power weapon attacks on the charge??? Cheer!

P.S. Are the Farseers the same way? It's annoying that the only Farseer i see with a Witchblade is the one that comes in the 5 model set. Not sure i want to pay $45 for one HQ option.

The Autarchs ARE metal models.
The set with Scorp Chainsword contains: Shuriken Pistol; Scorp sword; Mandiblasters; Fusion Gun
If you then wanted to give that autarch a Power Weapon then i'd suggest using an Avenger Exarchs Diresword

I made mine by getting the scorpion chain sword one and stuck a dire sword on its belt and made him carry the fusion gun.

One note on this. The Dire Avenger bits are considerably "thicker" than the Autarch bits. So I wouldn't match up the Avenger Sword and Autarch arm. It would look unbalanced. But you could mix the Avenger Sword and Shimmer Shield to make it work.

The Howling Banshee arms are really the better fit in terms of size.

I took my scorpion chain sword and literally ground it into a power sword with a dremel tool. It looks pretty decent like that.

May I add to the original question?:
How would you go about getting a Lasblaster/Death Spinner/etc for your Autarch?

Lasblaster could be made from a plasma gun and a lasgun (with a few pieces of wire). They'd be really tough to cut off of a Swooping Hawk model. Honestly, I'd use a Dire Avenger Catapult way before I'd use a Lasblaster - even if the Autarch is going with Hawks. The higher strength is very much worth the trade off in range.

Death spinners are trickier. You could probably cut one off of the Exarch model. But that'll reaquire an extra Exarch (which you can get at The War Store).
