Default War Walker weaponry

So, I searched it some time ago on the forums, but I couldn't find a real anwser to my question, so:

Do you have to pay for each weapon individually? And if you buy two of the same weapon, are they twin-linked? For instance, a starcannon costs X points. If you want to equip a warwalker with Starcannons do you pay X or 2X? Compared to other prices it's most likely 2X, but 2X sometimes comes above the price of the War Walker itself.
So, a little help here, please?

Thanks in advance
-Yummi

Right then:
You pay for both weapons that you buy seperatley so 2x is what you pay when buying two identical weapons

You're getting confused with Wraithlords which make their weapons twin-linked, War-Walkers on the other-hand, don't (they will fire both starcannons or whatever you've given them) so they have two seperate weapons that fire seperatley.

I believe it is only X, though I have wondered this myself so cannot give you a definite answer. Just the way it is worded suggests you buy the weapons as a pair, despite them not being twin-linked.

You pay for the weapons (which do not twin-link) seperately. Otherwise, GW-displayed configurations with two different weapons would not be possible...

Good point. In that case War Walkers just became a lot less viable in my list. :-\

In your list yes that's possible but I wouldn't want people to get the wrong impression. A squad of war walkers is a great unit choice for eldar. The amount of firepower they can dish out makes for a great addition to most lists.

**Scatter Lasers**

I know what you mean by them being pretty good but they aren't as good as a handful of grav tanks.

Yes of course you're right, that's why I specified my list in particular.

They also don't cost as much either, it's a trade off. (configured correctly) And they can Outflank so mobility is less of an issue than it might've been.

To OP: It's 2X for cost and the weapons are not twinlinked as above posters have mentioned.

Yummi, IT'S AP2! Did you think GW would let you shred their precious Termies and Marines at a reasonable price :P?

I was using the Starcannons as example, but I get your point.
