I was just thinking, does Embolden allow you to re-roll Psychic tests, as they are in effect Leadership tests?

Also, would this allow you to re-roll Mind War attacks, as this compares Leadership values?

If the answer to the first question is yes, would it be viable to use Embolden in conjunction with Runes of Witnessing?

Thanks

I doubt it really. I don't have my book handly, but IIRC it affects Morale and maybe pinning test.

Psychic test has nothing to do with leadership really it's just use that stats for mechanic reason.

Edit: Darn FAQ

According to the FAQ it does.

No. Mind War attacks are not leadership tests.

Certainly. Runes of Witnessing + Embolden + Ghosthelm + Rune Armor + Fortune = never having to fail a Perils Test.

So the order for a Psychic test gone badly would be:

Runes of Witnessing (roll 3 dice), if failed:
Embolden (re-roll), if failed:
Ghosthelm save (3+) if failed:
Rune armour (4+ inv), if failed:
Fortune (re-roll), if failed:

The Farseer only takes one wound? Correct?
So the chances of dying from PoTW are extremely slim. Extremely.

That is correct. Since PotW no longer has a strength, it no longer causes Instant Death for our low T casters.

While all of that is correct, unless Eldar wargear has something special going for it there is one step missing.

If the Rune Armor succeeds on the first 4+ save attempt, Perils of the Warp dictates you must reroll it. Since a roll may only be rerolled once, a failed reroll wound stand.

Basically, it doesn't matter if you succeed or fail on your first Rune Armor save, as it is rerolled no matter what (IF you have Fortune).

Yes, that's correct. Nice catch.

Does this apply to any Psychers' saves? For instance Space Marine Librarians?

Well, any model which takes a Perils Wound rolls to save and, if successful, re-rolls it as per Perils. If that model has a re-roll on failed tests, then he would always roll twice as well. Otherwise, models typically only roll once for Perils if they fail.
