Default Ulthwe Army

I'm new to Warhammer and picked Eldar. I have a quick question if you can help me.

What units are allowed in a Ulthwe Army?
Thx in advance

All of the standard units are allowed in an Ulthwe army (unless you plan on using the 'Ulthwe Strike Force' from the Eye of Terror codex?).

However, you cannot take lone Farseers in an Ulthwe army, instead you must take a Seer Council (you can find the details in Codex:Craftworld Eldar). The Farseers in a Seer Council cannot be mounted on Jetbikes like the standar Farseer can.

Welcome to the forum Mage001.

Rezzy's right, you need a Seer Council as he said above. Your two compulsory troops also need to be black guardians, any other guardians being normal guardians. Again the details will be found the Eldar craftworld codex....

Thanks for the info. I have a couple of question to ask though....what special units are used to Saim Hann? What do melta-bombs do?
Thx in advance.

Saim Hann have a special HQ unit called a Wild Rider Chief - a very nasty and powerful unit. He can be accompanied by Wild Rider Kinsmen.

Melta bombs are bombs carried by Fire Dragons which are very good at blowing up anything with an armour value. However I'm afraid we can't tell you actual statistics because of games Workshop's stance on copyright. The rules can be found in the rule book.

I'm not sure if Melta Bombs are in the Codex (I don't have it on me so I can't check). Check the Wargear section towards the back of the book (just before the psychic/Exarch powers), if they aren't there, you'll have to look for the rules in the Rulebook (check the Index and Contents) like Tau-killer suggested.

They aren't in the codex. Games Workshop never put everything in the codex (to ensure you have to buy the rule book >)

I'm afraid I haven't got the rule book on me so I don't know what page. Try looking them up in the index and if they're not there look in the assault section of the codex. They'll probably be there under some sort of 'special assault weapons' section...

Hey, thanks for the help. I went to a gaming place yesterday, and talked with an Eldar player. He suggested I go with Iyanden army, due to the Wraithlords and Wraithguards. What is special about them in a Iyanden army? I don't have the Craftworld Eldar codex yet.

Wow, I'm talking about Iyanden twice in one day:

http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=7498.0

Wraithguard and wraithlords are the only troops in an Iyanden army - yes - wraithlords are troops. However before you get too excited there is a nasty little rule which says that you can't have more wraithlords than you have units of wraithguard - so you can only have a maximum of three wraithlords anyway...

On the topic I've given above on my post there you'll find a link to another topic I've made giving information about all the craftworlds and the pros and cons of each. You might find it interesting....
