Default Eldar units

I've been discussing this with a friend (who doesn't post on this site) and these are some of the ideas which we came up with.

Myself - I'm split between the Black Guardian Defenders and the wave serpent. However I have to go with the Black Guardian Defenders because with their great BS - if joined with a handy warlock (with conceal) and a heavy weapons platform (remember the BS) they can do tremendous damage to practically any squad of any army.

Warp spiders for me, by a long shot, 12 move, high str w/ lots of shots, good stats, (like all aspects) and a 3+ save, can't beat em.

Falcon, so versatile with a nice transport ability.

Fire Dragons in a wave serpent, can unleash 10 shots 3 inches into the opponents deployment zone on turn 1 with the 2 inch disembark and the 1 inch width of their base. Thats a seriously dead assault squad, carnifex, Tyrant, or anything else for that matter. Figure they average about 6 marine casualties in a round of shooting.

Falcon, fast durable all purpose assault vehicle with transport capability. Can't argue with its versatility

I can

I think that the wave serpent is more versatile (and slightly cheaper )

Not this argument! They are both suited to different things to be honest, the falcon contains much more firepower, and is a true 'gunboat', while the wave serpent has a higher transport capacity, and not as heavily armed (but better 'armoured' arguably).

But to be honest both are great tanks that the Eldar have, and both can be used for different purposes to equally good effect on the battlefield.

I don't have a particular favourite, thats why I didn't say. Instead I added to the discussion about two great Eldar tanks - the Wave Serpent and the Falcon.
