Default Critique my 1500 vannilla eldar list please

Well, Critique it for me, this will be the list I satrt with (well, maybe 1000pts to start) but anyway I do not have any experience in eldar warfare

I suggest a little switching around of the vehicle upgrades, take the CTM off the transports,(wave serpent and falcon) give the serpent holo field and spirit stones, with the extra points because the falcon already has those things, buy an exarch for the fire drag squad with a pike, hes the one best exarchs you can buy, take the holo, star engines and stones off the vyper and keep it alive instead with a CTM, the only way to keep alive an open topped armor 10 is to hide it. Use the 15 points saved off the engines to buy a power weapon for that DA exarch, with 12" range its charge or be charged, be the charger and add some power to it. with the extra 5 buy runes of wit for your FS, it will be casting a power very often and with those you almost can't fail your test, you may take a wound, but you will not FAIL and take a wound. All this is based on MY view of the role of each eldar unit, you may have your own plans for your vehicle's strategies.

well, I want to reduce the guardian squads to about 10 men + platform and crew (12) so then I drop the DA and get somthing, reduce the cost of the flacon and take the CTM off the WS and Falcon, then I might do somthing with my vyper, not sure about the fire dragons, may get somthing else?

If you look under the vehicle upgrades available to a wave serpent, you will see that it cant take a holo field. :P

OK i am going to crique.

Basically, i have noticed you have a farseer with eldritch storm. This is a very specialised power which in most cases is only effective again mass orks, nids or imps. Not worth it i say. Go for mind war on a jet bike. Here are some of its uses.

Move 12", Mind War 18" = 30" combat range. Use that to snipe the missile launchers off tactical squads and the like. Try to aim your fareer at around 100 points so it is not a big loss. You then assault back 6" so that you are about 36 away from the opponent. make sure you are behind cover so you wont be sniped yourself. But your IC so you should worry too much. Harasing in warhammer 40k is always a good thing. =)

OK for your guardian squads. either have 3 with 10 men, warlock and conceal. so you can bullet sponge heavy bolters and fling starcannon fire at the opponents SMurf squads OR:

Have a massive 20 man squad. no heavy weapon, warlock and conceal, yet again! And Advance onto the enemy using your shurikens pure fire power to maul the enemy. You move 6" then Shoot 12" so you have an effective 60 STR4 AP5 Range 18" shots, thats if you have 3 squads, which is what i use. It hurts.

And even more so when you are ulthwe, however i dont believe in specialising in any craftworld, unless your biel tan or saim hann.

The dire avengers.. hmm. statistically they are like 0.1 weaker then guardians point to point, or something like that anyways. I did the math long ago. But they are still weaker, and dont have good fire power for ranged combat. If you have to use them then use the exarch. He owns with a power weapon or dire squad. I forgot what its called...um...basically use the direavengers as bullet monkeys for the exarch. exarch gets in combat and even the enemy HQ will have problems, that is if he is not a hive tyrant, carnifex, archon or any other close combat monster.

Two wraithlords. very tough. but not worth it. your paying about 230 points on a bullet sponge which has no effect on the enemy except to make him cry cheese and fling 10 lascannons at it per turn. A more effective combo would be 1 wraithlord, built expensive so it looks like you want to use him, and a cheaply done prism tank. The prism tanks hovers around sling shooting STR9 AP2 blast shots at enemy assault squads and terminators.

The falcon geared to max.. im the old days that was the strongest tank in the game, but now i am not sure. since in the FAQ it says you can use Star Engines and CTMs same time, even though the codex says they can, in a matter of speaking.

Also if u plan to use it as a sniper tower using only the starcannon i wouldnt. This is because for about 70 points more you get 3 warwalkers which carry a total of 6 starcannons. Feel the burn baby. Any ways i am off. 8)

Ok, I would drop all the star engine upgrades your taking. You will find that your skimmers can move far enough anyway and you should probably shoot with them instead.
Definetely keep your weapon platforms but I would go about giving the squads a warlock with conceal.
Also I would give your striking scorpians an exarch with stealth so they can inflitrate. Then give the serpant to the dire avengers (and drop the CTM and give it the dynamic duo instead). And then join the farseer in with the striking scorpians but give him fortune, not guide and eldrich storm. This will allow for the scorpians to re-roll their saves! giving them better chances than a 2+.

Ok, now back on topic people.

I just thought, in addition to what I said earlier I would also change the singing spear into a witchblade if your merging your farseer with the scorps. This will allow for another good sword arm.
