Are Guardian jetbikes worth the amount of points they currently cost. If not, please say what points you think they should cost and why. If you think that they should cost more - please definitely say how much and why!

i think 30 points, as their weaponry isnt great and they are still fairly poor in combat even with the extra resilience...their advantage is their speed and they have to pay way to much for that at the moment.

Very true. ATM jetbikes cost the same number of points as wraithguard and for the same number of points they have:

Worse BS
Worse WS
Much worse strength
Worse toughness
Worse weapons

The only thing they have which is better than wraithguard is their additional speed which IMO hardly makes up for all the disadvantages listed above. I think that jetbikes should cost between 25-30 points.

25 is pushing it, i agree their cost should be lowered, but they have the ability to turbo boost and the ablity to move 6" in the assault phase whenever....

Furthermore they cannot be compared to wraithgaurd...they fulfill totally different roles on the battlefield, that is why they are in different force organisation chart slots...its like me comparing a krootox to a crisis battlesuit!

all in all. i have thought about it many times and have determined that they are overpriced. but with the jet boost thing its a plus.

Yes but the point you've completely missed is that a crisis battlesuit does not cost the same amount of points of a krootox, so it's very difficult to compare them anyway. *Wraithguard and jetbikes cost exactly the same amount of points so I think we have a right to expect that they will both be roughly as effective as each other on the battlefield, not necessarily at the same things but still effective. *however the jetbikes simply aren't as effective as wraithguard - they're great units but they're overpriced. *They shouldn't cost a point more than 30 IMO

crisis battlesuits dont have a fixed cost, they can equal the same as a krootox. The point that i was making was that the jetbike and the wraithgaurd fulfill TOTALLY different roles. One is a solid groundslogging troop, the other is a light nippy bike...It's pointless to compare these two and base points cost on those as they were both meant for different uses (hence different slots on the FoC).

Shouldnt cost a point more than 30 IMO as well, exactly 30 is right considering their armour save and the other bikes/jetbikes you can get and their points costs.

One word, too expensive to be a good unit in my opinion, same with shining spears. 30 points seems a good price to pay, although I do like the jetbike minis quite a bit (just something about the sleek lines or something)

same here, a squad of sleek blood red saim hann jetbikes can be a very nice sight, the models make you just think of speed, unlike space marine bikes IMO.
