The eldar battle force is one of the greatest boxes around. It comes with 20 defender guardians (one massive guardian squad is always fun >), 3 jetbike (can be good as a fast hitting squad and to take objectives) a viper (always good, but you have to get a different weapon if you want one as it only comes with a shuriken cannon) and a falcon. These are all great choices for an eldar army, and it gives you a fast, hard-hitting force to start with.

I agree. The Eldar battle force is an excellent way to start. However is there a specific craftworld you want to specialise towards. If so that may affect what you wish to buy first. This might help...

However if you just want to collect simple Vanilla then the battleforce is a good way to go. It has plenty of guardians and the falcon is one of the best tanks in the game. For Hq get a Farseer - always start with a farseer, not an avatar...

Also before a got a farseer with a singing spear, and pistol. 5 Wraithguard, and a Wraithlord with Star Cannon, My main foes are going to be Space Marines, Nids, orks, and Necrons.

And Yeah I am just playing good old Vanilla Eldar.

Ok...

Definitely get guardians then. Get two big fat squads of guardians - I'd recommend defenders - they're much better than stormies unless you collect Ulthwe which you don't. Also get warlocks with them, this little guy can be massively useful. Also get a warlock for the wraithguard and perhaps consider not getting a falcon but instead getting a wave serpent - and using it to transport the wraithguard and warlock.

Considering that you'll be playing nids and orks i'd also recommeng getting some war walkers with scatter lasers. Nice three man squad. All scatter lasers. Farseer near them with guide...the possibility is wonderful >

For the marines and necrons starcannons and reaper launchers work wonders. However be prepared to use different units against different armies - scatter lasers work wonders against orks but they're not so good against marines - instead starcannons do the trick much better.

Hope this helps

Thanks Tau-Killer, also I will be facing Tau, Chaos (lots), and IG. About war walkers, I never see them as useful units, I always see them get blown up in the first-Second turn.

Also I would like to get a unit of Warp Spiders, and Fire dragons.

Well..yeah...that's their disadvantage. However they are fairly cheap and if placed at the side or in cover its amazing how much your opponent can get distracted by other things and forget about them...

Warp spiders and fire dragons sound kl. However they're strictly off limits until you get guardians

Ok. How would I put my guardains into squads? 10 man squads, 16 man squads, or 20 man squads? And I like Dark reapers, but I have not seen then in battle. have you seen what they can do?

In small battles IMO ten man squads of fine but in bigger ones (ie over 1000 points) I think that 16 or even 20 is desirable. I have one single 16 man guardian squad (although I collect Alaitoc so I have loads of rangers.)

I've seen what Dark Reapers can do. Put them at the back of the board and they can kill practically anything infantry based (although they're not great against Terminators.) You should definitely take an exarch (I prefer with EMS and fast shot) and against lightly armoured squads plasma works works wonders and can kill lots and krak can also kill lightly/medium armoured vehicles. Especially if you have fast shot it's usually better than a bright lance, as it has a longer range, is fired by someone with an amazing BS and will fire twice as many shots as a bright lance (due to fast shot!)

However they die easily so stick them right at the back and beware of deep strikers (especially terminators.)
