Default Exarch powers

Which do you think are the most useful and which are the least useful?

I think that bounding leap, war shout and withdraw are useless. They're unlikely to be of any benefit - bounding leap will rarely be of any use, the enemy will pass the test they have to take due to warshout most of the time and even if they don't it won't make much difference. Withdraw - there's already been a topic about.

I love tank hunter - no tank can stand in the way of the fire dragon exarch. Stealth is also very useful (if infiltrate is allowed and admittedly expensive.) Fast shot is also massively useful - especially when used on an EMS fired by a reaper exarch...

well for the reaper exarch I prefer crack shot, no damn marines gettin a cover save vs. my exarch, and with re-roll to wound its practicly an auto-kill.

I think you named most of the worthless, and just why is warshout 20 points? the oppenent to use it on is marines, as then your squad will hit on 3s instead of 4s, but what marine is going to fail a leadership roll? Its just way too many points for that kind of a risk.

Exactly. For warshout the squads that are more likely to fail the ones which you don't need to use it on while the squads which are most likely to pass the test are the ones it would really be a good advantage to have it used successfully on.

The Dark Reaper ones (Fast Shot and the other one) are very useful if you're sporting a Missile Launcher... and never underestimate Infiltrating Striking Scorpions...

...I'm not really sure which I'd consider least useful.

Withdrawl is very useful- you withdrawl at the end of your enemies assault phase and re-charge him on your turn.

Hmm....going on to good powers - which Dark Reaper power do you think is the most cost effective - crack shot or fast shot? I prefer fast shot myself. I think that the best combination is fast shot combined with an EMS. Plasma EMS when used with fast shot against Tau fire warriors can be wonderfully effective...

I think that acrobatic is a great power, it allows the banshee exarch engage any one specific model ( or the back of a charging dread of need be <---- this happened to me- man was he surprised!! )
I also just like the idea of a matrix-like super-hero style warrior ( with a strength 5 power weapon )

The Executioner is a nice touch isn't it?
Bear in mind that getting behind a Dreadnought no longer means anything in 4th Ed (if I remember corretly), you always work out combat using their front armour value.

Restayvien- you are correct ( pg 72 walkers in assault ), I guess that banshee move will be relegated to fireside stories for Eldar children or " remember when we could... sigh"
