Default Warlock powers

What powers should you give them?

I think that you should always give guardian squads conceal - it makes them survive for much longer.

When they're with a wraithguard squad I think they should either have enhance or destructor. I prefer destructor. Enhance is useful but I don't want to gear my wraithguard for fighting in assault - they're great at surviving but they're not brilliant at killing. Therefore I think destructor's better to soften the enemy up before assault.

With a guardian jetbike squad I think that the best choices are destructor or conceal. However since I like to be offensive I think that destructor is better.

With a farseer/seer council augment is a must (obviously only in Ulthwe) and conceal is also a must if you're facing an army with weapons that negate invulnerable saves...Embolden is all round I think rather pointless - especially for Farseers. Enhance is useful - especially if they have witchblades/singing spears while destructor would also be good! What do you think?

When I played with my Eldar (wrather than leaving them to collect dust), I used to just use them mainly for the extra Witch Blade, and gave Conceal for Guardian ones, and Destructor to the rest.

In that case, so is sex. Therefore, pornstars and prostitutes are professional athletes.

Guardian Defender Squads - Conceal is a must.
Guardian Storm Squads - Conceal or Enhance
Wraithguard - Enhance or Embolden
Seer Council - Augment (Ulthwe) or Enhance or Destructor.

Embolden does have a major use in Seer Councils.

As they are normally very expensive points wise and there bieng a much higher risk of units breaking and getting run down under 4th Ed. Embolden can save you an aweful lot of points as it is quite likely they will lose a combat to elite enemy squads, as councils are great at surviving but not so good at dealing out damage, therefore you are likely to have to take Ld tests, and their survivability does them no good at all when they are getting run down.

I always use Embolden, Ehance and Augment in my council.

Conceal should always IMO be used for Guardian Defender squads.

Yes, Warlocks can take any equipment in the Eldar Armory. Only take them on Warlocks with Augment, since it's the only Warlock power that requires a psychic test.

No. That's not true. It says in the codex that a farseer and warlock may have up to 2 weapons from the list below and in addition the FARSEER may be given any wargear. I know it says in the warlocks profile that they can have any wargear allowed by the armoury, but the armoury only allows them to take two weapons and 1 phycic power. Also if you notice it says in the wargear's profile in the back of the dex that it never mentions warlocks once. It always says things like this: 'Runes of Witnessing allow the farseer to.....' etc.

Does no one else use Conceal on their Wraithguard? I hate them being taken down so easily, so I let them re-roll their saves. 8)

I think putting Destructor in a Wraithguard squad is a bad idea for many reasons:
-Wraithguard are slow, and so you will have to wait ages to get to even use Destructor.
-Wraithguard are anti-tank, Destructor is anti-toop (so you'll have to sacrifice a turn of shooting at an armoured target to use Destructor).
-The Singing Spear is IMO a great choice for a Warlock accompanying Wraithguard, but he will not be able to throw it if he is using Destructor, as both are used in the shooting phase. :P

I usually use Augment, Embolden and Enhance in my Seer Council, although I occasionally take an extra Warlock with Destructor in an offense-geared SC.

I think either Embolden, Conceal or Enhance could be very effective in a Storm Squad.
