Well, it's time to get ready for an upcoming RTT in my area, and I was wondering what the local community would think of my list. It has already recieved a warm reception over at 40kO, and I want to see what the reaction over here is. Anyway, here you are:

Seer Council - 425

That is 1700 points exactly. The unequiped Warlocks on the Council are to soak up casualties as the Council advances. The Avatar will join the Council. The second Fortune is for the Scorpion squad, which will be close by. The Storm Guardians will go in the falcon. The two Black Guardian squad will advance, and be used to capture objectives, and the regular Defender squad will stay back, and act as a guarding unit for the Dark Reapers.

EDIT: So... Ummmm... Does anyone really care?

That looks like a good, well balance list to me. You've got plenty of guardians which is good and your battle plan is logical. I would say get some starcannons rather than scatter lasers for those low armour save units and some heavy weapons for the guardian squads would be nice (however if the limit is 1700 points) you obviously can't afford any. I would say don't bother holding a squad of guardians back to defend reapers - stick them behind cover and let them defend themselves - guardians need to be close to the enemy with their short ranged weaponry otherwsie they get killed rather easily even with the warlock's conceal.

Well, Starcannons are the exact sort of thing that I'm trying to avoid taking with this list. So many Eldar player abuse Starcannons, and I'm making apoint by not taking any (and no Bright Lances either).

I feel the need for a Guardian squad to stay back, with the way that Deep Striking is very common in 4th edition. Dark Reapers, lack the ability to wipe out squads by themselves, and would be very vulnerable to an assualt, which is why the Guardians are there.

how many starcannons would one have to take to count as abuse ey ;D

if i were you id try and bump the seer councils size down to six and fly them around in the flacon, using them as a hard hitting assault unit. Make the scorps infiltrate to keep them out of trouble and so they can get to the enemy quicker. If you are using fortune on your seer council every turn and with witchblades, enhance and destructors then they become an extremely powerful assaulting unit ;D

This is a nice well balanced list but i dont see enough mobility to deal with some armies who may just start dictating the flow of the game right over you, dont get me wrong, even the basic gaurdian can travel 18" per turn but against a leaping tyranid army, all it needs is a tad more IMO!

Seems like a nice list, very balanced.

Although i would give a platform to the unit that is staying back with the reapers as they won't need the extra speed from FOF and will be pretty ineffective for most of the battle without one.

Also as the Black Guardians will be closing on the enemy it will often leave them open to attacks from walkers such as dreds, for this reason i would give the warlocks singing spears. Another reason bieng that with you closing you will undoubtedly get closer to any enemy armour base that you might encounter. To get the points from this i'd drop two witchbaldes from the council. It will also make it less painful when taking off warlocks after the first two die.
I'd take one off a warlock with destructor and another with augment (simply because you have two of each of these).

You will have a hard time against power armour and you will no doubt be facing a lot of it. I don't see anything wrong with one or two starcannons, particularly in games of this size. If you do change your mind on this then i'd give the wraithlord and the reaper protecting guardians them.

I like the list a lot, I just have one question, why is one sqad of guardians not black?, it is free and completely better, did you already paint them differently or something?

You can only have two squads of black guardians in an Ulthwe army. All the others have to be normal guardians.
