Default HEADS UP: ELDAR POP QUIZ - Please put away all study materials...

OK, welcome to the first ever (since I’ve been a Mod anyway) Eldar Board Quiz. Rules are simple: PM me with the answers by 12am on Friday the 19th. Scores of 75% or more net the prize. +1 karma and homemade waffles. (YUM!)
Kudos to Mage001 (+1 karma) for suggesting and the quiz, and helping us (Yriel and I) develop it. Lets see what you know. Seers and Autarchs Start your Engines. (Harlies, are already gone!)

1: Name two Imperial Inquisitors who have had access to both the Black Library and have set foot on an Eldar Craftworld..

2: What Class of Eldar Warship is little more than a flying Pulsar Lance?

3: What is the Eldar name for the Artifact(s) that were put into use as space stations by the imperium, and later used as weapons of mass destruction by Abbadon the Despoiler during his 13th black crusade?

4: Why are they important to the survival of sentient life in the galaxy?

5: What special unit is organized to escort Ulthwe's Avatar in times of great peril?

6: Name one 2nd edition Eldar psychic power that is not available to Farseers or Warlocks in the current edition?

7: Besides a ghosthelm- how do Eldar pskyers protect themselves from the Deamons of the warp?

8: What does a Reaper Range finder helmet do?

9: What happens when a Farseer dies of natural causes?

10: What Eldar Goddess gave birth to the Howling Banshee aspect?

11: What service did Khaine render unto her to receive this boon?

12: What part of Khaine do Dark Reapers exemplify?
.
13: What Eldar units are capable of having haywire grenades in the current edition of Codex: Eldar?
.
14: Who created the blade Anaris?

15: How do Wraithcannons work?

16: Who is the Phoenix King?
.
17: What two Eldar Gods survived being eaten by Slaanesh?

18: What Eldar God is believed to have created the Eldar?

19: Name two aspects that share an exarch power? Name the Power.
.
20: What is a creidann?

Good luck Ladies and gentlemen,
Ged of Paragon (also on behalf of Mage001 and Yriel of Iyanden)

EDIT: Please don't forget to post a reply (not with the answers, just a hiya!) so you can recieve your points.
Thanks,
Ged

Hey all,

This is a shameless bump, but with some added news. There have been a couple of polite requests to allow a little more time, (Due to schedule woes and general business) and seeing as there is no good reason not to, (and this is an informal in-board quiz) I'm extending the Quiz an extra 24 hours. The new close will be Jan 20th, at 12:00 instead of tonight.

Thanks for your attention,
Ged

Default ELDAR POP QUIZ - Results and Discussion

OK all, Pencils Down! It's midnight on Sat. 20 Jan, 2007. Will Edit this post and announce scores in a moment.

OK All,

Only three entries this time. Thats OK it's a Start. Of those three entries, all three passed. (Either through farseer-like knowlege, or by prompt raidiing... ) Congrats to you all. Please PM me if I have your permission to reveal your scores. EDIT: Toastmaster - 85%
I'd like to suggest making quizes in our forum a more common occouence. What do people think of starting a "rolling quiz" as a stickied post. (i.e a question is asked, then the person who answers it correctly gets to ask the next question. All questions will involve Eldar Trivia) I realize it's kind of "enclavesque", but I feel would also be a good way to start building a database of Eldar trivia for the newer players, and a place for vets to pass on their knowlege. (or just try to stump each other)
Alternatively we can organize a monthly or bi-monthly quiz like this one.

Any thoughts?
Ged of Paragon

I really enjoyed this quiz! Lot's of different questions and all were very interesting.

My score was 90%, I missed questions 5 and 6. I thought Court of the young king was ment and I couldn't get to know a 2nd edition psychic power.

Holding quizes is a good way to keep people interested in a race and it's fun to do. I really would like to see more of these quizzes and your idea of creating a sticky thread with questions sounds like something interesting and would make this board something special.

Great work!

I found Wikipedia to be infinitely helpful on this quiz.

I scored an 85%. I missed questions 5, 6, and 2. I didn't have Codex: Eye of Terror, so I couldn't have known what Eldar special unit escorts Ulthwe's Avatar, and I don't have a copy of the 2nd edition Eldar codex, so number 6 was out of reach. As for 2, I'm not much of a BFG person, myself.

I would really like to see more quizes like this. It was very fun. The idea of an Eldar chain quiz thread sounds quite familiar to that 40k fluff chain quiz that used to be very popular in the General 40k section... Anyways, either one'd be a fun thing to try out. Why not both?

Who wants to bet Wargamer scored 100? He even beats Inquisitor Czevak in Eldar fanboyism.

Hey all,

We had a late entry, but I didn't realize it b/c I failed to check my messeges earlier. Seeing as this is the first quiz, and that it was sprung w/o warning, I'll score him too. (But I can't karmatize him until he posts in this thread... HINT HINT! )

TTFN,
Ged

yeah sorry, I hadn't realised it was late, When I did, after I'd entered I thought it would be unfair to try to claim the Karma though. But since you're offering it...

I got 90%

Luckily I have the previous eldar codex, it was really helpfull, that and the eldar online dictionry, (google eldar dictionary) that helped, I didn't play any previous edition so I had no idea for No. 6

Thanks Paragon for allowing it though.
