[Falstead]

I tried posting this army list at the bottom of an older thread I'd started and didn't get any feedback on it. So now I'm giving it it's own thread.

Basically the army is for a 4 player scenario my Club will be running at Gamesday. Essentially whoever is left standing in the middle of the board come the end of the game wins.

It's not meant to be a highly competitive game, rather it's supposed to be fast, fun and bloody. I personally quite like this list because I think it's a very appropriate swordwind list, and for the purposes of this scenario every unit is a scoring unit!

The opponents will be Slanesh marines, Necrons and Tau. Here's the army list, feedback is much appreciated.

Depending on how you decide to use the vypers, the shuricannon can be a good or bad choice. Getting within 24" of a unit for in such a low AP vehicle can hurt. I would personally take another with just the starcannon upgrade or just the scatterlaser<less recommended> to save points.

Is the warp spider exarch with no real upgrades worth the cost? You could again upgrade that scatterlaser on the falcon to a starcannon, and imho gain a bit of firepower. I like the other units a lot, although i might swap the avatar for a farseer to throw in the back of the falcon for guide. The avatar does make a great fire magnet though.

Just a couple of notes on the feedback.

The vehichle weapons are sorta stuck as is since thats what I've got models of. However I think they're decent enough load outs. I know its risky to get that vyper that close but the potential for 9 strength 6 shots/turn is quite happy making. Overall if my Vypers do enough harm to be targets I'm happy because it means the aspect warriors can deliver the hurt.

HQ Choice wise I've chosen the avatar becuase its a cool fluffly leader to a swordwind army and they're great in game. Either they get shot to peices absorbing a bunch of fire power that'd be better off directed at my falcon, or he gets ignored, gets into combat and does some serious harm. Either way he's a great use of a mere 80 points! He costs less then the Shas'el that usually leads my tau army.

As for the warp spider exarch, when making the list i had 12 points left at the end. Since I have the model of a spider exarch and they were the only squad with out one I though "eh BS 5 and Ld 10, what the hell, why not?" so the Spiders got Exarch'd.
