Default XV9

Hey folks, I've never been too active on here but I thought some people may like to see what I've done with my first xv-9.

Just a little background, I've been playing 40k since when it was just rogue trader in '89. I consider my modeling and painting skills average.

This one shows the magnets for the arms, torso and legs, and the 2 key pins for the torso.

As you can see I improvised a couple additional weapons. I'm guessing forge world will probably come out with a complete line of weapons. I apologize for the lighting.

No need to apologise for the lighting - It's only a conversion.

However, it is a pretty decent one though! Karma cookie ahoy!

The Fusion Blasters look a tad too flat and wide to me - I know they're more like the Burst Cannons that way, but I reckon they'd look better placed vertically instead of horizontally. Or maybe if you cut them down in the middle to make one large sort of three-barreled Blaster as opposed to two two-barreled ones next to each other, if you catch my drift. The Flamers, on the other hand, look bloody brilliant though, looks like FW could have made them. Should be interesting to see this thing painted.

I see what your saying, they do look a bit cumbersome now you mention it. Possibly using the XV25 Fusion Blasters might help that? They are a bit smaller IIRC?

I think both of you are right. They do look a little out of place. The next one I do I'll try different configurations.

I really like the suit design as a whole. However 2 things come to mind. I wish it was a little smaller, same proportions just scaled down like 90%. Secondly I wish it fit on a 40mm base. 60mm bases are really big... like I mount hammerheads on them...
