Here is my First DIY Plague Marine.



The Scyth is made from a Bolter, VC Zombie Scyth, A VC Skeleton Shield, and some wood skewer.

On the head I added some green stuff and pusified it.

I'm hoping to make a full squad of ten like this.

It's kinda hard to comment on do to the incredibly blurry photo - the wood skewer looks a bit too thick, but other than that it's impossible to make out any other details about the conversion. Do you know how to use the macro function on your camera? It'll be the button that looks like a flower on a digital camera.

I'm really sorry about the photo. I have a hard time taking pictures with my camera.

As said before, its just too hard to make out from the picture, try seeing if your camera has a close up setting.

The model looks great... what did you use for the intestines?

Honestly, use the washes. Im DIY plaguemarines at the moment, and I've made the bellies all bloated etc, but have trouble makuing intestines.

Also for painting, washes are the bomb! I do a drybrush of bleach bone, then wash gryphonnite sepia (or whatever its alled) then thraka green, then another bone layer and a lighter coat of each. Looks really good.

TBH I cheated and used the intestines from the Vampire Counts Zombie kit.

Thanks for the painting advice. when I buy some CSM I could compare between your technique and the GW technique in the "How to paint" Book. Nothing personal, but if i compare two different styles then I can find a comfortable style and possibly make my own in betweener style.
