Hey. Has anyone done one of these? if so can you also do a step by step? Its a commonly used unit and I'd like to run one in a few of my lists.... just haven't got a clue how to make one...

I tried searching, but didn't get any step-by step stuff....

I was wondering why Dave looked at me so weird this morning when I walked in...


I've done a farseer on a bike conversion - mostly. There's still a little painting to go, but he's looking pretty good. I'll post some pics if I can remember to take them this weekend.

Basically I took a vyper and a jetbike and mixed and matched till I have an oversized jetbike with a cut down vyper canopy. For the seer himself, I took a warlock and chopped him in half, used greenstuff to make a robe to go over regular jetbike rider legs, and made a cloak that's flying behind him out of greenstuff.

I used the Dire Avenger spear/power weapon arm for the right arm, and made a pointing finger (not obscene....) out of the regular jetbike rider arm. I greenstuffed robe sleeves over the arms, and a farseer helmet thingy (not sure what to call that blade / fin on their helmets).

Anyway, the model turned out awesome, and the paint job so far is about my best work (which makes it almost acceptable for tabletop - I'm a horrible painter)


Along that same line, I'm also converting some jetbike warlocks to go along with him. These guys are tough. My basic approach is the same; take a warlock, cut him in half, slice off inconvenient arms, and greenstuff the rest. I find that a very, very thin sheet of greenstuff will wrap nicely around jetbiker legs to give you a good sitting robed figure.

If you haven't done much with greenstuff, don't worry. Before this all I've ever done was a little touch up here and there, and maybe filling some gaps. This stuff is looking great so far, and it really has been tons easier than I would have thought.

That's not much to go by, as very few people can do the green stuff work, It's quite simple in it's basic design, and how to do it, but difficult in its execution, so unless you are a greenstuff wizard, don't try it. But it has the basic form showing, which is what you wanted, so I hope I've helped.
