I made this over a month ago now - it's been sitting around gathering dust waiting for me to clean some bits up and paint it. Basically, I had the crazy idea of having a Broadside, but with two gigantic plasma miniguns instead of Railguns. Sliced off the Railguns, made the guns out of circles of plasticard glued together and brass rod of various sizes, and there you go. The Multitracker-like-thing is a sort of communications node, to make up for the fact that his head has no ariels. Also added a big from the Target Lock to bulk up the head a bit. The arms were originally going to have two Burst Cannons each, but I decided that would be going a bit too far. The suit is, for the moment, called the "Broadwind". (Or the Dakkaside ) Haven't worked out an XV number yet though.







As a side note, this also happens to be my 1000th post on TO! ;D

I like the idea, but IMHO the "plasma miniguns" far are too big. The barrels don't line up with the railgun ends, which makes them look disproportional. Otherwise, great idea

Haha, I like the idea of having twin linked burst cannons AND those two huge giant burst cannons. I say keep it that way! 6 shots per turn! WOO HOO!

I did mean to have them a little off-centre - besides, if they were completely central they couldn't be much bigger than regular Burst Cannons without having to chop his head off. No real getting round that. The main irritation for me was the barrel ends - it was almost impossible to get them to glue on straight! Had to use contact adhesive to stop them moving around, but that melted some of the plasticard - turned into a wee bit of a mess in the end, but thankfully it shows less now it's primed.

And Falstead - it was a hard choice, but thing is I might want to use some of those Burst Cannons for something else. The whole conversion just appeals to my inner Ork so much. ;D
