There seems to be quite a few topics going around involving the female aspect of the Tau, and people making models, better or worse, to fill this mighty gap in the GW line, even though they all look the same while in full uniform. Either way, it's gotten me inspired to embark on a modeling project of my own. My first real one, anyway that doesn't involve just putting peices of other models together with greenstuff taberds.
So, here's how it is. I've always loved the idea of the Ethereals but they never really seemed like they belonged on the battlefield, so I made a more battle-ready lookin' one out of some pieces I had. Looks pretty cool, but I want one that will fill this female gap and earn that no armour save and Honour Gaurd. So, I present for your

Well...that's certainly some damned fine drawing skills you got there, and I don't suppose there's any reason why there shouldn't be female Ethereals, so by all means go for it. Face wise she seems good as well - attractive, but also suitably alien. Seems to have the necessary brow ridge for the pheromones as well.

Wow. If your modeling skills can match your drawing skills, this should be an awesome model. Please do keep us posted on your progress throughout.

I'm no expert on sculpting, but I'm happy to knock ideas about on msn if you want. Thirdly, think about what you're going to do in detail, before you actually do it. Use your head to think up different ways of doing something, and then choose the best method for you. |
